Sub-Zero's character is awesome. His story flows beautifully, from his status as a Lin Kuei to his downfall to a Netherrealm Wraith. I do hope for the Elder Sub-Zero to one day return to his normal self, as he was before. What I hope is for Ashrah's ending in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, to be canon. I want this, because it is so possible that Ashrah could purify what is now Noob-Saibot, so he can return to the person he once was. His gameplay is excellent, as with the younger Sub-Zero. I love the appearances of both the Elder Sub-Zero and his younger brother. Their gameplay is awesome in the Mortal Kombat Games. I personally think in a battle between the Young Sub-Zero and Scorpion, the Young Sub-Zero would win any time, merely because his Supernatural Ice Powers are simply much more powerful than the dark powers of Scorpion. I do love the story of the Elder Sub-Zero and the younger Sub-Zero, more than Scorpion's story throughtout the Mortal Kombat Series.

Personally, I like the fact that the old Subby is Noob. If he returned we'd have to of the same characters. If he's ever to return to his original form it should be when he is gone from the games for good.

On the younger one, he has alot of enemies, and from what he saw in Sareena's bio, we should be seeing what happens to them. What happens to Noob, Scorpion, Frost ect. Hopefully Noob is still Noob, and returns in the next game. Frost is one of my favorites, but she isn't original. Kill her off. Scorpion is comming back. Smoke is not. Sareena is definetly not. We know what happens to Kenshi. He leaves Sub-Zero, and continues his story. All this is obvious, but what about Subby? What happens to him? Does he get the happy ending, or is he doomed to share his brothers horrible fate? We need to know!

i love Sub-zero, one of my favorite characters! I like his storyline, and Noob Saibot rocks!

I like Sub-Zero. He's always pretty consistent for me. He changes his look and he's always doing something in the story. I guess what I like best about him is how his character naturally developed through the games. He's one of the few characters to really grow and change through the story.

I can't say I'd miss him if he was gone, but I think he deserves his iconic status.



How do you know? We won't know who lives or who dies until the next one. And if anything, Sareena should definitely come back.

Well think about it. Sareena is not a fan favorite, and Smoke will probably be gone. They will only keep certain characters, and these two are not going to be one of the few. I like both of these characters, but they will probably be cut from the next game

Sareena's not a fan favorite? Since when? All response I've seen towards her has been positive. When her bio was posted, practically everyone here liked it. Most people I've seen want her back in the next game.

Well, of course people would post in that thread. IT was one of the first few bios posted. And of course it was great. But can you honestly tell me that she will be in the next game. There are characters more liked by fans. Scorpion is Boon's favorite. Subz is probably in. Kung Lao, Kang, Raiden, Kitana, Sonya ect. Can you tell me that Sareena is more liked by people who have played MK then those characters?

I'm not saying Sareena is a bad character. Quite frankly, she was one of my best in MKA, and a great storyline. But she isn't one to go on.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero will definitely be back. I'd count on Raiden. Beyond that, I guarantee you would find just as many people who would rather have Sareena than characters like Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Kano, and Sonya as people who's want them in and not her.

A lot of the "classics" are stale and need to be let go. Sareena's a fresh face and should continue on.

If Liu Kang were to come back and not Sareena....I would have to punch something.

Well, Sub-Zero is of course my favorite character. Both Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot are up there on my top favorites. The stuff XiahouDun84 said about his storyline is right on spot, and I hope they do some great things with his story in the next-gen MK games. I don't want there to be some new person to take on the Sub-Zero mantle unless something like that is saved for sometime much later in the next-gen story and is done well.

If this Sub-Zero makes it into the next-gen story, which I greatly hope, I want them to have part of his overall story involve his ancestry and to delve into who the Cryomancers are and what they are all about. He has lots of enemies, and I potentially see Noob Saibot and Sektor making it into the next-gen MKs.

In terms of gameplay, he is a mixed bag. He wasn't really that good in the 2D MK games except in MK3. Noob Saibot was and still is pretty cheap. In the 3D MKs, the only game he wasn't good was in MKDA.

I hope they continue to use martial arts styles in the future MK fighters, and I want them to give Dragon style Kung Fu (Long Xing Quan) back to Sub-Zero as I feel that fits him better than Shotokan.

For his special moves, I don't like what they did with the Freeze. I'd rather they make it more like in MK4/MKG and have a charge option.

He should always have his Ice Clone, which is pretty much his best special move, from a gameplay perspective.

The Cold Shoulder is ok, but it's not really needed. I wouldn't mind seeing it return along with moves like the Ice Shaker and Icy Pillar.

Overall, Sub-Zero has grown and evolved throughout the years and is a solid character.

Subzero has been one of my faves since the beggining(he is my fav in MK1)i think what they should(and probably will)do in MK8 is make a new person become subzero.

Sub-Zero is the king.I always thought he was cool since mk1.He's freeze ability is cool.I dont know why,its just cool.

One thing that i liked about sub-zero and still like about him, is the fact that with the stuff he has been through, he is still doing the right thing. For someone where, he is seperated from his family, taught to be cold heart or emotionless most of the time, he's brother getting killed, almost getting killed by scorpion, his best friend captured and turned into a cyborg, being abandon by his clan cause he wasn't going to turn himself into a cyborg, becoming grandmaster of his clan to be betrayed by frost, and almost killed by his brother and best friend, he still is a good person who believes in doing the right thing. I feel this alone, makes him a very admirable character.

I really like sub-zero and noob saibot. I think noob should surn out like Chamelion, so hes sub, then changes black, then sub and ect. with a mix of both moves. I like both sub-zeros in every game (exept MKD Konquest, because at the time you train with him, that should be the original sub-zero, and the new one found the armour hes wearing, and as far as i know, classic sub wasnt grand master at his time) so if neither come back, well, im sure MKA will really happen

Sub-Zero has always been my favorite for reasons already stated. His goal is constantly changing - he never gets boring.

Y'know though, technically speaking, if the "elder" sub-zero returned to his normal human form, he would still be considered younger than his brother, due to the advanced aging side effects of the Dragon medallion. Plus, I think the Elder Sub-zero would have a little trouble playing the role of the underling towards his younger brother, due to the fact that his brother is a grandmaster and all. Now if this did happen with the next MK game, it would probably cause a revolt between the two, and could potentially split the entire clan in two. So although the original sub-zero would return to his normal self, I doubt very much that he and his brother would be on the same side. In fact, I think we would see something similiar to a civil war within the Lin Kuei clan.

The Sub-Zero legacy has got to be one of MK's tier 1 staples that keeps bringing the fans back for more. I'd be blown away if he didn't return, and of course Scorpion will return - he's Boon's favorite character. I don't know where speculations that Smoke and Sareena won't be back came from(since it's nothing more than speculation and definitely not fact), but I think we can all agree that Sub-Zero in MK 8 is the closest speculation to becoming a fact.

I think he must return. He has alot of enemies, and will certainly have more in the future. Think about it. Some enemies could be cyromancers, Lin Keui warriors from the original Lin Keui seeking revenge ect

i've always loved Sub-Zero. Since the beginning of MK1, his story has been interesting. I liked in MK1 how he only wanted to kill Shang and then vanish, sounds like Chameleon. Anyway, come to find out he vanishes, and is dead. But wait a sec, he's back in MK2! Or so we thought.....

MK2 showed us the true Sub-Zero, and this story really enthralled me. How could they're be two Sub-Zero's? Well, MK3 settled all this.........

MK3 showed two diffrent Sub-Zero's, in the same game! This showed that there is two of them! Realzing that the old Sub-Zero is actually Noob Saibot, and he's evil really got me hooked on there story.

MK4's storyline was great, but didn't emphasize much on Sub-zero or Noob, but Scorpion realzing he wanted to kill Noob Saibot instead of Sub-Zero was great.

Deadly Alliance ushered in a new age. Sub-Zero had a new apprentice, of the Lin Kuei! Frost was very appealing to me, as she looked up to Sub-Zero, or so i thought. When she accidentally commited suicide that was a huge shock. I thought she was gone forever, but i'm glad she came back.

In walks Deception, with Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero! I love how they both hate each other, and want each other dead. The endings for both of them were spectatualr.

Armageddeon storywise was a let down, and Sub-Zero's story was no diffrent. I only hope his bio will keep his story interesting.

I really hope Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero are in MK8. I've watched their characters story grow into something great. I have high hopes for both of them.

Altogether, Sub-Zero is the best character.

Where as some are lacking in story, moves or looks. The ol' Subster has it all.

They aren't afraid of changing him, which leads to his success.
