How can you even talk about Quan Chi and Shinnok when we don't even know what they're going to be like for the next game? Let alone of the next game is even going to be a continuation from the fighting game or if it's an adventure. Brute force is not everything. I'd be more terrified of a bone head sorcerer who can summon undead warriors... edit: & yes they had Goro as the subboss in MK4 with no explanation other than to provide a decent challenge to the home consoles & because his stage was in the game.

This is what I want for MKX, I don't want to see them come back and look the same. I want them to have a new look, and maybe different abilities, maybe, for some. DC Comics also gave their DC characters new looks, called New 52.

Goro and Kintaro haven't intimidated me in a very long time. I can't even remember the last time Mortal Kombat made me scared like a little girl.

We're not having angel centaurs being thrown into this game, and it's not because I hate pretty much every one of your ideas. It's because they can't even get the mechanics down to have a centaur character, let alone Motaro, to play right in this game. Even if they do, I can say with 100% confidence that they're not going to suddenly throw in a horse character with wings because it's "different."
They're not going to bring back the "dead" characters in frilly new outfits. I also don't want to see Sub-Zero suddenly possessing the ability to wield earth-bending abilities. They're not going to give any of the dead characters brand new abilities that they've never had before because they're resurrected or because they're dead or whatever. Bologna.

I can certainly say when the site actually becomes more active (although it is active now and I can't understand as to why no mods are showing authority at all) this crap would be put to a halt immediately. I mean, people have already shown enough evidence for this idiot to get banned already. I've seen him get banned on TRMK because people pointed out already that he's nothing but an idiotic troll who's posting the same crap from here to there. Why this site is allowing him to actually continue is beyond me. Whether we choose to actually respond or not, it doesn't make any kind of a difference at all. He'll still continue to post if we DON'T respond because he'll think we'll still have a conversation with him if we choose to ignore, thus, causing more off-topic bullshit no one here cares about. If we decide to actually respond, jokes and name calling hardly does anything because it's hysterical to see them fly right over his head.

My journey on MK forums have taught me not to care too much about haters. Haters are gonna hate even if your ideas are good. I've posted on many of MK forums and themortalkombat and mksecrets seem to be the most civilized forums out of them all. And on those forums I've gotten good feedback on my wishlist thread and I'm happy with the outcome because of all effort it took to make. I made it last year and have been constantly updating it with new ideas and suggestions for nearly a year now.
I didn't really derail this thread, I just said there should be other kind of Centaurs because there are different kind of Shokans. And I gave a few ideas of different kind of Centaurs. Then I get people bringing up grooming/fashion. I know noone here is on my level because I follow a supermodel diet and fashion, but I don't bring this up on threads. Only the haters bring this up time and time again. I'm looking at IceBaby and coltess and FROID. This guy here is unbiased towards me had to say this about my ideas:

First off, we know very little about the Centaur race other than the fact that they are very tough. But I think Motaro, the very first, no ONLY Centaur should have his grand re-introduction first before we move to Centaur variants. I mean what else do we know about the Centaur race other than what Motaro shows us. The latest Mortal Kombat showed he wore some skulls and bones to invade Earthrealm. If that is how much a general would wear to invade Earth, I don't think his soldiers would wear as much either.
Second, hanky, you may have big ideas, but that doesn't mean everyone is gonna like it. You have to understand another persons side of an argument before you talk back. Your Centaur variants should come second because regular Centaurs did not have proper screen time yet. So please calm down. The forum is about sharing ideas. During the introduction prologue in MK3, there is a cool pic with Motaro and five other centaurs (one of Shao Kahn's extermination squads). They're all similar to Motaro in appearance, but have their own distinct look. If Motaro doesn't return, I'd like to see Netherrealm use that pic as a reference to create a new centaur.

Had Motaro had more of an appearance in this game, we could have probably gotten a bit more information about them.
They possess magic, I'd like to know why that is, and if it's only through their... cyborg-ish tails, or through other sources on them. I'd like to see more of their war between the Shokan. We know that he and Sheeva absolutely do not get along, could we see more of that in the future if he is ever to return.
Motaro is a great character that has been treated like crap and it's sad that it is.

I was more asking the question as to how is it that they're able to possess magic. So how does Motaro have magic, is it through the tail or is it through other sources? And of course, they're going to rely on the actual centaur with them being the all-mighty brutes that they are in the mythology.

I always sort of assumed that due to the nature of Outworld constantly being under the rule of Onaga and Shao Kahn that the entire realm was sort of imbued with magic. Kahn's sorcery is enough that he can literally merge the realms together; he's forcing magic across all the lands of that realm. On Earth, however, while there are places related to great magic, those are places where magic has permeated a particular piece of land. That Earthrealm in it's entirety is not Magical, but there are places where magical energy runs deep.
So, I think the Centaurs and other denizens of Outworld can sort of tap into this lingering magic, allowing them to do some of the insane things they do. Also, I always thought Motaro's victory pose looks as if he was casting some sort of spell, or harnessing some sort of energy.
Again, all of this is just sort of how I perceived a lot of the goings on in Mortal Kombat.
