Good stuff with the episode. All around awesome comic discussion and I definitely agree with Reptile that he deserves a comeback after getting shit on so many times. I would also love to see the purple pants MK4 costume again. That was probably my favorite Reptile costume, it was really original compared to his other alts.
Oh and Django, you're absolutely hilarious as a guest. Made me laugh many times

I still don't quite understand what was going on with that phone. Perhaps it too is cursed by the Kamidogu!

Can we have Django as a regular? Fucking awesome guest appearance, stole the show! And a link to his amazing work on the MK music would be great, if its still about!
Oh and also, you gentlemen need to stop polluting whiskey with Coke and drink it neat. And then stop drinking bourbon and scotch and drink Irish whiskey, thus becoming right

Thanks so much for the kind words! These guys definitely don't need me though. I'll be back for a future MK Music Retrospective episode hopefully, but right now there will be WEEKLY MKX Comic Book news to tackle. They have more than enough material to cover without my silliness getting in the way.
I'm a big fat whore though so forgive the following:
If ya want to check out the music I did here's a link for clickage:

And I do videos all the time at

where I frequently whoop ass in MK9 Online. haha
Also, I always drink neat. However I don't think I'm too familiar with Irish Whiskey so any recommendations are welcome. Seriously. I drink a LOT. haha

As always, thank you all for the support and positive feedback. It was great talking to Justin. Look forward to seeing him back on the show sometime soon.
Also, I don't think we gave IceBaby enough props. Huge thanks to her for coming on the show previously as well. We're looking forward to more guests in the future.
Generally speaking, I agree that whisk(e)y is best when not mixed. I'll mix a lower shelf bourbon with coke just to change things up, but to me, the whole selling point of whisky is the character and complexity.
Like I said on the show, I'm partial to Scotch, but I do love Irish whiskey. Thing is, the only widely available ones I see are Jameson and Bushmills. I love both, though.

Absolutely, agreed on both accounts.
We have several more people wanting to come on and join the madness, but once we catch up on those I've already agreed to have on, repeat guests are certainly welcome. I love a new take to add to the fun, and it's nice to get more people involved.
When Razor mentioned that it'd be nice to actually see the last members of Reptile's race in the process of going extinct from Reptile's own perspective, it really resonated with me, because looking back, this is one of the reasons why I fell in love with the character in the first place.
Despite this never actually happening in the games, that's kinda what I always envisioned when reading about Reptile's backstory - scenes of the Saurians being worked to death deep in the cobalt mines of Shokan or some other Outworld shithole, and every time Reptile would get a chance to discreetly visit them or something, he'd watch them get progressively weaker and sicklier until none of them are left...
It's such a fucking shame that he's constantly treated as the buttmonkey of the series, because there's some real dramatic potential there.
And as for the "Reptile snaps" scene, we actually got one, remember?
Now, I can wax poetic about this scene for fucking hours (as I have many times before), but this one ending is probably my favorite thing in MK4 and is undoubtedly Reptile's crowning moment of awesome, because for the first time in his entire existence, he actually stands up for himself and demands to be heard. And not only that, but he actually musters up the balls to talk back to a fucking fallen Elder God and the current Ruler Supreme of All Reality. Just think about that for a second.
So, naturally, he gets his head exploded for his troubles, and it's not like this scene was canon anyway. :/

Fun and all around great episode. Django is a great guest, and jesus man, his remixes are seriously fucking good. Listening to them builds true hype for MK. I hope you keep making more dude, I'd pay for them.
Thanks for including my question as well. Looking forward to next week. If you guys get through the backlist of guests, I'd love to join in if there's an opportunity. I run a podcast for the soccer videogame PES (pes-united.com) which allows me to go to E3. Seeing MKX last year was amazing. Keep up the good work.

Jesus H. Christ, this was one hell of an entertaining episode. Have loved the guests so far, as well. I'm glad to see you guys so seemingly energized with all this new info.

I haven't said anything about the show yet since I rarely visit the forums. But, this is pure genius. Love the podcast. Made me laugh especially the special guest.
I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I'll throw this one out: what do you think MK, and the MK story in particular, would look like if Tobias never left?

Who do you think will be announced next ? The retrospective I want you to have is Bo Rai Cho.
Here are a few of my comments on this issue:
I'd like to sympathize with Forest Fox if I could tell what the hell was possessing him and if this "force" actually held on to him through chance or by birth given we know NOTHING about his back story.
"A powerful demon from another realm." So it's NOT from the Netherrealm? Interesting... I wouldn't call Havik a demon, more like a skeleton-person that's not dead?
"...seek to disarm Earth's champions." Disarm them of what, their powers? Somewhat like Blaze?
"Beware the one that walks in silence." I'm pretty sure Forest Fox is a pretty talkative guy. And Raiden couldn't give any more helpful intel rather than just that one ambiguous riddle? You know that could result in more Earthrealmers getting killed right? Earth's Protector God everyone! And we please have cool-talking Clancy Brown Raiden from MK:DOTR again?
Well on the bright side at least Sonya doesn't look like a slut anymore
WHAT'S THE BLOOD CODE? Please tell us more if it has nothing to do with vampires or devilish blood-letting occultists
O and my MK retrospective request is...Rain

This, this and this. No better time than now unless he actually gets announced.

I think we should do the Kenshi retrospective.
question or rather, request as topic:
the biggest flaw in MK9's writing is the fact that Raioden does not specify WHO needs to win. It is one syllable: He / Khan. One monosyllabic word COULD HAVE MADE the planned conflict in the game void.
Aside this being idiotic, how would you adress Raiden's fuckup with NOT BEING CLEAR on who Hanzo needs to keep an eye out (Forrest Hump). What are your thoughts about Raiden being an exceptionally INEPT messenger?
question/topic no.2:
relative lack of Mortal Kombat fan fiction and obscurity in media (Legacy and Rebirth notwithstanding), in general. Let me provoke you, what would be the basis of creating an MK initiative based on entirely different prespectives (full realism- Rebirth, full mythological basisetc) and how would you/others do it IF it would be doable at all. ?

I got a question for the comic, if it hasn't been asked yet:
Because Raiden acknowledged Scorpion as part of "Earth's champions", do you guys think that Scorpion could have replaced Sub-Zero as a member of the group?

I'd like to hear you guys discuss the leaked casting call as it brings up potential new characters and I'd like to hear your opinions on johnny leading a new group of special forces warriors.
I vote sektor or goro for character retrospective.
