Great episode! Loved Shadaloo's take on Liu Kang's gibberish, he definitely doesn't walk in silence lol.

Yeah, it's really funny how it now seems if a character died in the previous game, they have a better chance of returning than the ones who didn't die.

Like Razor and Temp, I'm also worried that Reiko and Fujin appearing in their MKA costumes (not updated) kind of goes in to the direction of them not making it into the game. Hopefully Shadaloo's right there and that we shouldn't make such conclusions from the costumes in the comics. I really want those in the game as well, so bad.


My question for the next episode would be: given how little mention of Shinnok there has been so far from the NRS ever since the debut trailer (basically none), do you think they're keeping all things Shinnok super secret as he actually ends up playing a massive role in the story? Like do you think they have been downplaying the MK4 portion of the story on purpose. I mean, have we even seen any Netherrealm arenas so far? No? No sign of Shinnok either... Interesting...

My question for the next episode: just how frustrating is it to be given a glimpse of Scorpion with real character development before him being thrown back into vengeance mode?

For some reason I didn't enjoy this podcast as much as I liked the previous ones. It felt uninspired, probably because of the lack of news. I wish they talked more about the comic.

The running jokes about Kitana fans are getting old. And I don't want them to make a Kitana retrospective. They missed the right time and I don't think they're the right people to talk about the First lady of MK.

Retrospectives should be about less popular, but solid characters, like Bo, Havik, Li Mei, Hotaru, etc.

Just out of curiosity...who would be the right people to talk about Kitana?

Also when was Kitana dubbed the "First Lady" of MK.

Amazing episode honestly, I agree with a lot of thoughts from all four of you. Discussing Sub in Deception was really interesting, and Razor talking about how the story does make sense if you connect it all makes me want to go back and play the games, and try to connect it myself.

Don't have time to comment on it all, will edit later but seriously keep it up guys.

For the record, on the podcast, we all like Kitana. I don't believe we've ever stated otherwise. In fact, we praised her current design in MKX quite a bit. Just because I make a passing joke about some of her fanbase(don't take it so personally/seriously, that's part of the issue), because they seem to stir up a lot of stuff on here, doesn't mean I dislike the character. There's just a consistent theme of which character fanbases cause the most drama, and It just so happens that part of the Kitana fanbase is at the top of that list(certainly not every Kitana fan applies to this). You don't see Reptile, Ermac, Shang etc. fans thinking their favorite character should be everyone's favorite character, and any love for another character gets hijacked into talking about their own favorite character etc. it's just the difference between liking a character, supporting a character, and being obsessed/infatuated with a character. You have every right to disagree with this opinion, but browsing through the threads, is all the evidence you'll need.

Additionally, retrospectives are for every character. The whole idea of them is to talk about their history throughout the series, and discuss our favorite/least favorite aspects of them. The popularity or notoriety of the character has nothing to do with it. Every MK character will get one eventually. Regardless, you're more than welcome to skip the inevitable Kitana retrospective.

We've already talked about the comic. There was no new comic this week. We'll talk about it when there is one.

And yeah, a Kitana retrospective is coming - like it nor not. Don't expect it to be blind worship though, at least not from my end. I like her okay, but she's got her flaws. We're covering everyone in time.

I like that you guys talked about the perceived failure of Deadly Alliance and Deception when those games actually sold well.

I think there was more awkward sex jokes than actual MK talk in there....

The Shao Kahn joke was pretty funny...Razor kinda walked right into that one.
