Did I miss much?

why aint scorpion on the list? :'(

I'll have to watch the archive footage probably, but I'm crazy excited about all the games at SoCal this year. I'm cheering for Michaelangelo specifically, since I feel his glory ended way too pre-maturely. It's like he fell off the map after Evo.
I'm INSANELY hyped for Justin Wong's Iron Fist in UMvC3.


Scorpion hasn't gotten much tournament play in general. He's not a terrible character, but the current consensus is that he's on the bottom half of the tier list.

I'm more confused as to why Tom Brady isn't on the list. This is one of the biggest majors of the year; if you had to miss one, this wasn't the one to miss.

I just came back home and tuned in. It's ON NOW!

To Scorpion fans: you'll have to be patient and wait for the start of the next year when Slips, probably the best Scorpion out there, will start going to tournaments some more, he didn't have much time this year.


Tom Brady is not at SCR unfortunately. There was so much hype for Brady's Sub-Zero vs 16-bit's Kitana match so it's a real shame Brady isn't there. Although, I firmly believe 16's Kitana would have blown up his Subby.



Good Ermac right now, interesting! Michaelangelo doing the commentary, so nice to hear from him.

Looks like Scorpion made his way on the stream after all. DJT and MIT are playing a hella classic match-up right now.


I would have loved to see that match-up. Sucks Brady couldn't make it. He's not my favorite player, but I love his Sub, and his commentary is hilarious.

I haven't watched too much of the stream unfortunately, but Krayzie's Cyrax... oh mai gah.

God I wanna see this so bad. Love his crazy rush down Cyrax.

That one was awesome! Brother vs brother, Scorpion vs Sub-Zero, classic costumes, the Living Forest stage. So much win!

Both 16-bit and Tyrant looked very nervous. I think 16 set a new record in fans thrown per round lol, he was also doing lots of d1 into cutters and wake-up cutters. Tyrant on the other hand dealt badly with all the fan projectiles, got caught in the air way too often and it cost him. 16-bit's yell was hella hype!


I'm sad Shujinkydink got eliminated so soon and Michaelangelo apparently got late so he didn't enter the tourney.

Oh and there was quite a stir in the chat room as 16-bit was playing, even I got drawn into the "fight" lol.

16-Bit just took it pretty convincingly. Congrats man! Calling out Brady was fantastic! Edit: Espio beat me to it. Side Note: What happened to shujinkydink? The commentators were saying that nerves got to him. Anyone know who shujinky used and who he lost to?

I would actually like to know as well who he used and lost to Shujinkydink is a Quan Chi and Stryker player from what I recall.

Mad shout outs to him for using two of the most underrated characters in the game( though I'm not sure who he used as I missed the earlier matches sadly).

I'm hoping they'll get the archived footage up in a week or so, I'd like to see the earlier matches.

Shujinkydink lost to Denzell Terry in the winners bracket and then to SatsuiYesHadou, a Mileena player from West Coast in the losers bracket. His matches weren't on stream as far as I know, but I'm pretty sure they recorded lots of off-stream matches so it might pop-up sometime soon. My dream Grand Finals would have been 16-bit vs Shujinkydink.

YES! YES! YES!

I'm so happy! The hype or was it rage (lol) coming from 16-bit at the end was glorious!

The grand finals were so close, even though the reset didn't happen, it was still very close.

Really enjoyed 16-bit's performance, especially today in Top 4. He was patient, he executed well and punished well when the opportunity showed. Again, some really good throws sneaked in.

As for Krayzie, I'm not sure, but I think there were couple of instances where he probably should have gone for a breaker, but decided to keep the meter for resets. Not sure, but I think it may have cost him.

I didn't get see most of the tourney as I predicted, but I'll watch the archive footage.

I did however catch the final 4. Loved everything up till about the last match. Krayzie kep throwing combo opportunities. I guess he was just going for high-level stuff, but if you're resets and mind tricks aren't amounting to anything, then stop doing resets and mind tricks. Granted, 16 Bit was in complete control most of the rounds. Even when he didn't have the life lead, he never really deviated from distant fan game and his up-close poke game. I don't feel Krayzie was going to come through ultimately, but if Krayzie went for easy 25% combos, he may have been able to buy another round and maybe figure something out against 16 Bit's zoning.

That was the nail the coffin, I think. Krayzie had only one working plan against the instant air fans, and when the net trades stopped being effective, it was pretty much over.

i remember playing mk vs dc against shukinkydink on xbox live years ago, he's a beast, i'm suprised he lost.

I want to see the archive footage. No Kung Lao? Kitana wins? Yes!

This sucks. My computer obviously died during SCR. I really want to see the footage.
