Noob Saibot needs a damn nerf

I sent a tweet to a few developers about this shit cause it's getting way out of hand. This is the equivalent of the Superman ground pound from MKvsDC. There should be a delay in between his shadow specials. You see, the opponent likes to be a scumbag and goes all the way away from you and spams that shadow shoulder move all fucking day until he wins.
Some assholes online like to do a little mixup. They'll keep doing the regular shadow run special followed by a shadow slide special and if you jump to get close they do the anti shadow air crap. This shits pissing me off and something needs to be done about it.

I have to agree. I can handle spam from other characters but his are insane.
Mostly because they are easy to do and very fast. The only way i can beat a noob spammer is buy selecting someone who can teleport and get close to him.

hate to break it to you, but noob saibot is a mid to low tier character, as are the likes of scorpion and smoke. they're hard to play against at first, but once you get used to the spamming it becomes VERY easy to read your opponent and thus they become very easy to beat. EDIT: you cannot possibly consider that video evidence to your point. that guy getting beat was fucking awful, just standing there allowing himself to get hit over and over again? notice how he didnt jump over noob's shadows ONCE? i think sub-zero may match up badly against noob due to lack of a teleport or fast projectile, but that's no excuse for just standing still and taking that kind of beating.

Yeah the guy playing as Subzero is awful and you're right he didn't make an attempt to jump, but I try to cancel dash my way close to Noob or try to jump towards him and still get spammed to death. There is just noway around it. I know Noob is low tier, so tell me how do you get around that?

The guy playing as sub-zero was terrible, that shouldn't have been hard to just jump over the shadow moves. The guy who posted the video is a **** for playing like that though. Seems pretty proud of himself for making someone rage quit.
Actually, I think of Noob as the complete opposite. I've practiced Noob almost as much as Sub-Zero. He's my hero, when someone tries using Sindel or Smoke, or Reptile or Kung Laos' low hat and spam their projectiles, I spam the hell out of them with Noob.
I don't think Noob needs a nerf, he just requires a different tactic to defeat, if all he's doing is the shadow upknee, just shoot a projectile till he stops, if it's the running shadow clone , dash block until you get in close and steam roll him with combos and pressure.
If Noob is using his low shadow trip, jump over it, unless you're super close to him, then dash block low.
a Noob fight is especially like a game of chess, you have to take your time, get your hits in when you can and back off, you gotta be super patient against Noob. I know it's frustrating, but in most cases, Noob's in trouble if you can get past his shadow clone envoy and my advice is one you get in, stay on top of him, but when you knock him down, block because he's got pretty great wake up game.

If your playing as Sub, just dash block forward and time a EX Freeze to trad with him, I say EX because if you catch him with just a regular if your at full screen you won't be able to make it in time to combo him, Noob has a long recovery on his shadows so if you time it right you'll always end up trading projectiles with him. Eventually he'll stop trading and try to be aggressive which is not smart for a Noob player at all
Ill tell you who needs nerfing is fuckin ermac and his teleport grab moves seriously they are rediculious they shouldnt get you in the air and yu cant even get close to a person spamming them and it should only grab you if your hit by the green souls, you cant even jump them. Plus they lead straight into a huge easy to do combo, Where as noob is easy to get by.

Considering the fact that he has Little Mix-Ups and little to no up-close-in-your-face-game he doesnt need a nerf.... his projectiles are pretty much his best tools... just deal with it.

i`m sorry but the OP sucked as subzero, just standing there blocking wtf?
you didnt even think about trading projectiles? subzero is a god when it comes to trading projectiles coz your gonna get hit once and he will be there frozen while you slide, combo his ass or whatever.
besides, why didnt you dash block, dash block or even jump?
my advice to you: if your subby and somone is spamming projectiles just trade and your always the winner.
and no, noob doesnt need to be nerfed, he is fine this way.

Noob spammers are the easiest to beat.
Liu Kang's fucking almost infinite combo spam should be nerfed.

Only thing I would change on him is the fact that his upward shadow hits you if you jump or teleport BEHIND him, otherwise he isn't too bad to get around. And even as an Ermac player, I agree that his lifts shouldn't be instant. You can jump over the lift without too much trouble, but the push one is kinda bullshit in that it's instant and can hit you damn near anywhere. And of course, Liu, Raiden and everybody else with devastating repeatables (one combo that can be repeated 5 times without specials or anything other than a dash in between) should be fixed, cause you can only do so many Breakers. Especially Liu, since he has two of these combos that alternate between high and low hits. The fact that Liu and Raiden have specials that can get you into a corner super easily doesn't help, it's just begging to be abused. I can usually deal with these, but I'd still like to have some non retarded matches against them once in a while.

ok...even as Sub-Zero he could've done more than just stand there and block...why didn't he even try jumping over it...it's easy to get around that spam....I've played enough Noob Saibots online so now thats easy to avoid....he's not that difficult to defeat

Nope. Not unless you suck that much. Noob Saibot is middle tier and, isn't that great. Spamming is EASILY countered. He's fine the way he is.

Just dash block, and always block on wakeup. Every Smoke player WILL teleport at one time or another after a barrage of smoke bombs and WILL teleport on wakeup. Block and punish. And block high, or else the 3, D1, 4 will get you.
It seems that any kind of Noob users are either horribly crappy or Sir/Madam Spams-a-Lot.
With the horribly crappy ones, they know a few moves, but honestly cannot fight as Noob. They'll occasionally throw out a few spam moves, but they can easily be blocked/dodged and they'll give up.
With the spam, I've only met two. One kept spamming his shadow slide which, until I just jumped, finally played decent. While the other, the guy just kept doing his teleport move for the entire match. I had to just keep either blocking or duck and uppercut throughout the entire match. Some times, the guy will attempt to throw, but it always ends up where we lock up and then my guy pushes Noob away to cancel the throw.
Honestly, no one can play this character right, at least from the times I've fought against users who use him, and I don't think that video proves he needs to be nerfed if he wasn't even trying to dodge Noob's attacks.

I think really the only thing that should be done about Noob is he should have a cool down period between shadow moves like most character projectiles (cyrax), regardless of which move is used. Just to prevent some players from abusing his specials, either than or remove the poke/knock back effect from his moves. I don't think Noob is overly cheap with his moves, i mean he is kind of like shang where he has more of a zoning strategy.
I'm not saying what the guy did in the video wasn't cheap, but it also didn't look like it should have been overly hard to get around him either.
