Noob doesn't need a nerf. Match-ups are very lopsided in MK2011, so finding a counterpick that compliments your main is incredibly important in this game. If you're character is naturally disadvantaged against zoners, find a counter-pick with good mobility or a teleport.

Noob Saibot is subject to getting CAGED!

I have an EXTREMELY hard time playing Noob as Johnny Cage. All I seem to be able to do is EX Flash kick and if he blocks it I'm fucked. If you have any tips PLEASE elaborate, I'd love to be able to Cage a Noob :)

@the people saying "dash block" Noob's specials push back on block, have you guys really never noticed that before?

To the OP, I completely understand your frustration, but keep in mind that is just the way Noob is played. I hated it at first but now I actually kinda like him and find him unique. I'm thinkin about trying to get better with him in the future too, he has an awesome reset combo.

BUT, I normally play noob as Cyrax and my strategy with him can also be used by sub zero since net is similar to freeze (both give a free combo). So from full screen your gonna wanna jump over the teleports, if your opponent likes to do noob's teleport move try your best to anticipate it and block, if you catch him you get a free combo that will be way more damaging than his little 8% teleport hit. If the Noob player continues the projectile stuff (as many of them do fearing a teleport punish) once you are like one jump in or sweep distance away you have to guess if the noob player will do his annoying up knee anti air move or simply another clone projectile. MOST noob players at first will do their anti air upknee so instead of jumping in just stand there and freeze him and combo. If he catches on to this be sure to mix it up with a JIP freeze combo.

Hope that helped.

Im sorry but your wrong, what they can do is take some of the amount of damage he does in his comboes like they did to Mileena, And telling someone to just deal with it is a dick thing to say, his lift up in the air one shouldnt get you if your not on the ground or anywhere near the green souls, Its annoying because i always have to spam Sindels star screamer because you can get close, and why should he get an easy stun move while sindel and sonyas are hard to use?

No, he shouldn't. He is fine as he is. If they did nerf his proyectiles, they should buff his other moves because Noob Saibot sucks really bad in close range. And its not always spaming, i use him (not my main, but i use him), and that is how you play, keeping the oponent at distance, the same way Ermac and Shang Tsung do, and its not that hard to pass trought the clones, if your charachter doesnt have a teleport still most of them have charge moves, use one bar to give you armor and hit them. The only charachter i think is screwed against Noob Saibot is Sheeva, she is so slow that Noob Saibot will always have time to hit her first.

Noob is fine, and it all depends on the player. i would've beaten that noob player with subzero. you just need to dash in block trade with an ice ball or ice beam and depends after that on the combo you do or strategy.

Someone who does need a nerf is reptile, fucking reptile. I always have the hardest time with his dash. only real problem i really have against players :/

So because Sindel's and Sonya's stunt moves are hard to use so should other charachter's stunt moves? I don't think so. Its an annoying move, but Ermac's close up game sucks, and he has a pretty long recovery time for that move where you can punish it. Ermac is not that great, the only charachter i think is overpowered is Kung Lao. Because one or two charachters have disadvantages against zonners it doesnt mean their zone moves should be nerfed, because the rest of the cast would completely destroy them.

Really now? looks like you're the one trolling telling me to quit mk forever, I've been playing MK probably before you were born. Intead of being so ignorant, you can contribute to this discussion by helping others.

To whoever thought that was me playing, no that was just a random vid I found on youtube of someone else playing.

I meant to nerf Noob in terms of delaying his specials to have it just like everyone elses projectiles. Take Kabal for example, after you do the ground saw 2 times and attempt a third, it will not come out, there is a delay TO BALANCE THE GAMEPLAY. This is what I meant for those who are having trouble understanding the point of this discussion.

I actually wouldn't be that opposed to there being a cooling off period between shadow clones, like what Kabal has, it would make the most sense, he'd still have a pretty good zoning game, but even if he doesn't get it, he's still very beatable, so meh..I dunno, I'm leaning on the side of no still.

But if you do that you need to buff his close range gamplay, as Noob Saibot is dead once you got near to him.

Here's a tip:

Dash, block low, dash, block low, dash block low, punish him because 9 times out of 10 he'll throw out an anti air clone.

Rinse and repeat, if he stops for a second he's probably gonna try to teleport.

Nerf Noob.

Nerf Smoke.

Guys, these two characters don't need to be nerfed at all. I am, however, with Espio in that there should be more of a cooldown between Noob's projectiles. Doesn't need to be a significant increase, but enough to make him not such an easy mode for newer players.

Want to know how to beat Noob? Pick Mileena and ex teleport a lot. Pick Raiden and teleport a lot. Pick Rain and teleport a lot. Do you see where I'm going here?

How about Smoke? Block button.

Yes, it really is that simple, and I don't claim to be good at this game.

FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT "SPAM":
What people refer to as "spam" is effective strategy. People are gonna do what works. If someone keeps doing the same move over and over and it hits you each time, it is your fault for not defending it! Why wouldn't someone stick with the same move if it works and you obviously have a hard time defending it? Should they stop so you have a better chance of winning? No because the point of the game is to win!

There is not one move on the game that is not defendable. If someone makes good use out of one move and beats you with it, good for them! They are better than you! You need to learn how to defend it. I main Mileena online and if you keep leaving yourself open for a ball roll or teleport kick you can bet I am gonna keep doing them every time I see an opening. If you learn how to play instead of bitching you will start anticipating me throwing them, block and punish. I will stop doing it so much and re-adjust my strategy.

Noob is no better than any character. His shadow projectiles are insanely effective but other than that he doesn't have much. Each character has advantages and weaknesses. Noob has a big advantage in long range fights but his weaknesses are in close and lack of huge combos. It is on you to learn how to close the distance

When I fight Noob I stay on his ass, catious aggression will beat him, I say cautious because his shadows can come from low, high, or middle. You have to anticipate the pattern of how the shadows are being thrown. It helps to have a teleporter so he has to be careful and watch out for it, but even if your character doesn't have one you can still jump over them. Find a way to get the fight in close.

The elite players who main Noob that I have played are insane and some of them are very hard to touch, but that is the same with any character who is mastered.

Take away the quickness of his shadows and noob = useless.

Also Noob is a terrible match up for Sub-Zero. Put that fact with the obvious beginner skill level of the Sub-Zero player in the video and you have a recipe for disaster. I think each character has bad matchups but they still are always beatable. It's your fault and your fault alone if you lose. Nobody can play "cheap".

The only thing I think needs to be nerfed down is liu kangs infinite 3 button combo. The game is fine and does not need to be nerfed! Just practice to get better instead of bitching that something is too hard. Every character is beatable.

Noob is negative on block on the tackle and slide every on screen except fullscreen where he is only even on block. Understand that this means you can always move well before another shadow projectile comes.

And to the people wanting a cooldown...give the keepaway/zoning character a cooldown on his keepaway/zoning tools? Makes 0 sense.

The only way to nerf Raiden would be to give all of his moves more of a disadvantage, and that could possibly cripple him offline, which is what the focus is.

He can easily be played as a keepaway, though. Air fireballs and saw mixup will build your meter quickly.
