I hate to break it out for you, but the SubZero player was terrible. I play Sub Zero very often more than any characters in MK9. You just have to trade projectiles. Sub Zero is a tank character, no need to rush, take your time, block, dash-block, use enhanced ice ball and you are good to go.

Very good advice, especially the enhanced freeze, I didn't even think of that. The match in general is certainly in Noob's favor I think, but a few well timed enhanced freezes and combo's could possibly make them think twice about spamming projectiles.

There are ways to deal with anything in this game. Stop crying for nerfs all the damn time. Look to yourselves for the problem. If someone spamming shadows (or any other move) beats you, you suck! Just stop playing or go hit the practice room and get better.

I had a lot of experience with Noob Saibot vs Sub-Zero.
I use Sub-Zero and my friend mains Noob Saibot and does nothing BUT that.

Wanna know how to beat that?

ICE FREEZE.

Sub-Zero is the only character you can trade projectiles with against Noob Saibot. You will most likely not have time to do a combo, so Ice Slide him.
He'll just panic and will try to restart, so as he's freaking out, Ice Freeze or find someway to pressure him. When you do, you're golden. The closer you are when you land a successful freeze, the better the asswhooping.

It's called zoning. It's not spamming just because you can't break out of it. That's how it's meant to be in the game.

Well practice mode doesn't help so much in this case because there isn't a 'spamming asshole' setting. And I doubt either of my roommates wants to sit there spamming for me.

Kano is a gr8 Anti-Noob Counter. His Knives go High for 11% dmg, 13% I believe EX'd. Noob gets Corner Trapped from Kano's knives no matter what. If he Jumps over Knives Up Ball, & Repeat. If Noob teleports up ball or uppercut. Also when jumping over Shadow Cannon coming down, for Zoning. Noob can't handle Kano's Turtle Game. Trust me, Kano Knives > Shadows.

Spamming is when the person using noob is just throwing projectiles mindlessly. Noob is the best zoning character in the game, the way he is meant to be played is not just throwing random projectiles, you have to cut off the screen and counter with his high or low projectile and use his up shadow for countering or aa countering and the teleport as well for countering. Noob is a hit and run type of character hes a zoner.

I just started playing with noob and i havent lost with him yet and I get a lot of rage quits because most of the matches go like this, me turtling and zoning and aa jump ins with that up shadow and in the second round more of the same till i have a good life lead and then ill start to preasure his triangle, square, triangle combo into x ray or ill just x ray a random jump in or jump back.

Uhh yeah. That was zoning. Everyone labels spamming as "doing the same move over and over" and uhh last time I checked (which was just a couple of minutes ago) he DIDN'T use the same move. He used both variants of the shadow charges. He noticed that the Sub Zero player NEVER blocked low so he used shadow slide to his advantage and exploited a weakness in the opponent. That is effective zoning.

And cooldown on shadows no offence = stupidest idea ever. You want to nerf his major keepaway tools on a keepaway character? Noob's normals are incredibly slow and most of them are unsafe on block. Plus he has crappy pokes. If you nerf his zoning tools, you best make him damn good upclose like Cage, Sonya, or Kung Lao

There we go! Nice to see more sensible and level-headed users who actually understand fighting games. There are no imaginary rules that say you cannot use whatever is in the game however you please people. The sooner everyone gets this the better.

I wish that they didn't make Noob Saibot a zoner, I hate zoning. I've strayed away from him as my favorite now. I wish he were like Sub-Zero, or Sonya, maybe Nightwolf. I just hate that he has slow combos, and very little good combos. Also, people just spam with him (and imo he look stupid when his primary takes a bunch of damage and his mask is torn apart, I hate that) he's such an awesome looking character, and he's a freaking zoner.

Look at that video, it's ridiculous. That Sub-Zero player wasn't the best, I'll admit, but that's a prime example of what I'm talking about.
