Ok I'm coming out of the closet I'm not that strong a player at this game, Sindel is the only character i can really have any luck with and thats not saying much, who knows maybe its just practice.
But you know what? I still love this game :) and I'm sure there are more of you like me out there
So if your like me and cant bare the embarrassment of fighting those pros online anymore or your thumbs arnt quick enough to deal out those high end combo's but you still just want to have fun and play the game without those smart arse comments.
then please come join me on PSN cammykillerbee
You never know we could get better ;)

I really don't know whether I'm good or not.
I mean, I play better than most of my friends, but I never had the chance to play online, and I can't really do a combo that makes more than 26% damage.
I guess I'll have to play online to find out. I still consider myself a decent player, though.

Even though Sindel is the one I'm trying to learn I will still give most characters ago, after all no one wants to fight the same character over and over again.
Look forward to seeing you online

I'm not the only one:)
This is my first proper beat em up on xbox and I only get about 60% of the moves when I enter them...dunno if it's me, or my controller or what
Still love the game though
An hour a day is my quota mind, I couldn't be arsed doing combos in practice mode all day

I kinda fall into this category myself...
I think my problem is that I rely on learning the special moves more than the combos so when a player pulls out all them fast fancy combos that you can hardly block I am finished.
I am currently stuck having to use the trial period for a second time on PSN because I deleted my data to use Toasty. I would totally not have done that if I knew the PSN was going down lol.
Anyways...my main PSN is Mr-Somes but the one I am using currently is LycanAnimal.
You should just post the name of the room you make or join rather than get ID's due to many of us on the trial having to use multiple accounts every 2 days.

This is a really great thread =)
If you get to practice with someone on the same level as yourself or slightly better, it will let you experiment a bit and improve. (having fun in the process)
Awesome thread.

I agree...just as long as the really good players do not crash our party and start noob bashing and raining on our parade. It seems like there are many of them types in the beginner rooms.

That's ridiculous, and they should be ashamed. I wish that MK incorporated like a skill level system (similar to Street Fighter), and made it so that you could only enter a room if your rating was a certain level (SF doesn't do that, but I think it would be a good idea).
I really dislike people who do things like you're describing--I mean if you're so good, why don't you play someone on your level, so that it's a fair fight?
They're lame--just find a group to play with, keep practicing together, and hopefully the next time some jackass comes into the room, you'll kick their ass.

I had gotten lucky a few times against these types but they usually rage quit so I do not get the satisfactory. In anycase...I will be on shortly. I am fixing to eat dinner and stuff and than game on!

Glad to see I'm not the only one out there. I think some people have forgotten how to have fun with fighting game.
This may sound a bit silly but I think some people have gotten too competive and take games way too serious, you only have to look at some of the messages people send after a match.
Remember boys and girls its just a game

Yeah, I'm not so great. My win average is only about .250. I'm starting to do better though. With low-tier Mileena no less.

It's not so bad....I tried to get the Ladder Master achievement with my main (Mileena) and I didn't even lose a match until Shao Kahn :( He is ridiculous on expert! The rest of the characters are beatable if you practise with a specific character ;)

Kahn has a pre packaged formula, Ive already written up how to beat him in the strategy zone. Its universal and very simple. He falls for it on Expert even.
