With the release of Midway's latest entry in the Mortal Kombat series of games, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Mortal Kombat Online is proud to announce the return of its celebrity chat event, FIGHT NIGHT! The return of Fight Night will feature an informal and fun chat with the development team of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, including creative director and co-creator, Ed Boon! This event will bring together fans and developers together in one place, where the developers will answer the fans' questions!

The chat event itself will take place on Monday, November 6th, at 9 PM Eastern Standard Time. The event will last for about an hour, and it will take place at the #MortalKombat Online IRC Network!

The event can be reached via a java chat at the link above or by using the following settings in your IRC client of choice:

Server: irc.webmaster.com -or- irc.webchat.org
Port: 6667
Channel: #mortalkombat

Because of the anticipated high attendance, question submission for Fight Night will be done before the event. From now until Sunday, October 29th at 11:59 PM EST, we will be pre-accepting questions for the chat via the Fight Night Submission Form available at this link. We will be accepting approximately ten to fifteen questions related to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (either development questions and/or playable hints) from the pre-submitted queue, time permitting. Then, attendees will be able to submit questions at the actual event itself. The remainder of the questions for the evening will be picked from the questions asked at the event. It will be at this time that we might take a few questions pertaining to the development of future Mortal Kombat titles.

Don't forget to mark your calendars! Again, the event will be taking place Monday, November 6th at 9 PM EDT! We look forward to seeing you all at Fight Night!

About Mortal Kombat: Armageddon:

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is the latest in Midway's series of brutal tournament fighters. With features such as online play, Kreate-a-Fighter, Kreate-a-Fatality, and a roster including almost every single Mortal Kombat fighter to date, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon brings the Mortal Kombat experience on current-generation consoles to its brutal and lethal conclusion.

About Mortal Kombat Online Fight Night:

Fight Night chat events have been taking place in the Mortal Kombat Community since well before 1999 with special guests including Ed Boon (creator, Mortal Kombat), the MK: Deadly Alliance, MK: Deception, and MK: Shaolin Monks development teams, members of Threshold Entertainment's Conquest television program, and other various MK personalities. Mortal Kombat Online broke a Fight Night record in October 2004 when over 1,200 guests witnessed the event with key members of the Mortal Kombat: Deception development team.

About Mortal Kombat Online:

Founded in 1998, Mortal Kombat Online has covered five E3 conventions, four Midway Gamers' Day events, three past Mortal Kombat developer chats, and Game Stars Live in London. Mortal Kombat Online has gained the reputation of providing the best analysis of the games' progress while featuring exclusive hands on previews of games like Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, even before release. The website's growing relationship with Midway Games and the Mortal Kombat Team has supplied fans with information that can't be found anywhere else. Mortal Kombat Online in February of 2004, changed its name from MK5.ORG, in an effort to expand its focus on the entire Mortal Kombat franchise.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Briefly Appears on Xbox Live Arcade

Earlier today, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 appeared on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade service for Xbox 360. While it had been known that Ultimate MK3 would be arriving for several months, its appearance was something of a surprise as the press release that had announced Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's release had stated that it would not be released until November. The game was 43 MB in size and cost 800 Microsoft points (approximately $10 USD). However, reports now show the game has since been removed from the download queue; this was apparently a glitch on Microsoft's part.

We'll be keeping an eye on this story; if more is learned, we'll be sure to report it here.

Action-Figure.com Posts More MKD Action Figures
Who wouldve thought, it figures?
The guys over at Action-Figure.com have posted some more of the MK Deception action figures made by Jazwares!
Not to be deceptive, but some of the figures appear to be more based on the characters' looks from Deadly Alliance or Shaolin Monks, rather than MKD. Still, it could easily be argued that these are some of the best looking MK figures to date.
Cinder Posts MK: Unchained Endurance Mode Screen!

Cinder, from the official Midway Boards, has posted new material! With MK: Armageddon's release the new material from the site has slowed, but this time we see a glimpse of the upcoming Sony PSP game Mortal Kombat: Unchained in the form of a screenshot from its exclusive Endurance Mode!

This screenshot shows three seperate battles. The top portion of the image collection show MKU exclusive character Blaze on the receiving end of a attack by Liu Kang. The middle scene shows Scorpion victorious against his first opponent in the Endurance Mode. Finally, the bottom shows Darrius completing the mode by defeating five opponents.
