are these needing be duck or in a certain position?

No,you just press the button.

But you might want to be a bit far from the opponent,some times they dont work if you're write next to the opponent.

Also you might not want to try them on the Classic Costume characters,since it can freeze the game when theyre done on them.

Since there is no button for stage fatalities,i found that if you jump in the air then kick, then do what you have to do for the stage fatality(uppercut for the pit ,everywhere else is a button combination) it will work.
