I do. I'll admit that I don't like many fighting games, so say this is better than that or what ever, but I just love what the MK team have done with this one. Yes there are things I don't like about MK: DA but the overall game is too good. With more time being spent on MK6 it is sure to be far better than MK: DA. After almost a year of being out I would like to hear what other have to say about this game. Thanks for your time.

It is definetly a classic. And all those people who say mortal kombat two was better, need to play the old game and realize how slow it really is.

SO mk2 sucks because it's slow, now I've heard everything. MK2 just had alot more creativity, better fatalities, better moves, better characters, better bosses, better secret characters, better fighting style(IMO), well just about everything in mk2 is better, except graphics, but I dont give a crap about that.

Yeah, I consider MK: DA a classic. Funny thing is that I was thinking of making a 1 year anniversary thread on November 22nd. I agree with you on what you said about how there were some things that were not likeable in MK: DA but it still being a good game overall. And hopefully, MK6 will be an even better classic.

what makes a fighter a classic is the scene it has which comes fron its players. MKDA's players ended up being players who never cared to create a scene for MKDA like the other MK players did for the other MK's which is what stops MKDA from even being a meainstream fighter let alone a classic.

I personally wouldn't consider it a classic... It has little to no replay value for me. I'm not excited or thrilled with it anymore... MKT is still imo a classic, because there's more to do with it. All I use MKDA for now is as a coaster... It was a great game... for awhile...

Yes, MKDA is IMO the best MK game ever! Mk2 (IMO) is absolutely NOTHING compared to MKDA, nothing.

The last fighting game released that I can think of being considered a "classic" in the traditional sense would probably fall around Street Fighter Alpha 3. Possibly Soul Calibur and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Everything made recently hasn't done much in terms of innovation or execution to be deemed a classic. If anything, fighting games are in the process of growing stale. Hopefully developers will come up with something to break the mold soon. I'm looking at you Midway.

I do have mixed views of DA. The graphics and overall gore surpass all the MK's to date. However as far as creativity goes, it does seem to be lacking in that area. On the other hand some of the new characters like Frost, Nitara, Moloch ect. kick major ass. So I guess it's just an individual opinion??

I love Virtua Fighter. I cry when I see a VF machine getting no love at my local arcade. No, seriously, I cry...

OOOOOK! I just don't think Evo did so much beyond VF4 to make itself a classic. It'd be like calling Super Street Fighter II Turbo a classic when Street Fighter II is the real classic.

MK:DA is a great game, it definately is fun to play, but it didn't move me in the same way the past games have. I would have to say it is a classic, just for the fact its Mortal Kombat, but it isn't as great as MK2 was for its time, or any of the first three past MK games for that matter. Still, I think it is a classic and that it has revolutionized and set new standards for MK games to come.

With me, a classic is not only a great game, but also over 3 years old. I really don't think mkda is old enough yet

Maybe you should learn people can think for themselves and have their own opinions!

Why do you think people argue with you so much dammit?!?

Hmm ok, if I play MK:DA today i'd be bored after the first 10 minutes... If I play Killer Instinct, killer Instinct 2 or Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 I wouldn't; I would have alot of fun and I would end ejoying the time I spent playing them even though I have been playing them for years...

So no, I don't consider MKDA a classic... it was a great game indeed, but not a classic, UMK3/MKT is a real MK classic...
