I do not think MKDA to be a classic, even though I believe a game can reach classic status before a 3 years period, I just have this undescribable sense of what I think a classic game is and to me MKDA doesnt fall under the classic category.

Start living in the real world. MK2 will forever be the greatest video game ever made.

Now onto the topic of MKDA. Of course it isnt a classic, its only a year old...

Maybe in a decade it will be

Yes, MKDA is IMO the best MK game ever! Mk2 (IMO) is absolutely NOTHING compared to MKDA, nothing.

How can you even compare the 2 games to each other when it comes to graphics, sound and even gameplay to an extent?!? There is 10 years difference between the games. If there has been no improvement made in that time then Midway would have serious issues.

Many of those MK players that have been around since the beginning do say that MK2 is better game to play. They're not saying that the graphics are better, nor that the sound is or even that the game is faster! For that time it was the best game and no other game came close. However in this day & age there are many other games that compete and may even be better than MKDA.

MK2 is and always will be a classic game. A classic is a game that will always be recognised for what it did to the gaming world and that won't die.

Why is it that when a new MK game is released it is always compared to MK2 is some way?!?! It's because that was the BEST game.

When MK6 is released you will all say the same thing about that game as you are saying about MKDA. And people will still be bringing up MK2. That makes the game a classic IMO!!

I can see the fur flying over this one. Rather interesting that someone brings up "speed" being a factor of the game. MK2 sucks to mkda because it's slow. Thats like comparing pong to pac-man. Pac mans better cause you can move side to side. What daffyness. Point is for it's time mk2 delivered the goods, and although mkda was a good game and I was one of the more happier people to see MK make a comeback the fact remains and the things that have been rehashed over and over and over again, things were promised and they weren't delivered. In my opinion a classic game is one you couldnt live without. Sadly mkda found itself traded in 4 months after it was bought because it juss didnt have what I feel deserves to be a keeper. mk6 comes along and fer sure I'll pick it up to see what they do and how mkda branches off. But far as the comparrison goes, I still have my super nes and my mk2. MKDA is at the local EB games store collecting dust with the other 40 copy's. Nuff said

Maybe U didn’t notice but I never mentioned anything about graphics, game play, or sounds. I think it’s pretty obvious that these games have many years of difference, meaning that both have different things the other doesn’t have.

In the same way U have expressed yourself towards Mk2, I expressed my self towards MKDA. I gave my opinion about the game. I am one of those fans that have always been around since the beginning, and yes, Mk2 was really an excellent game in that time, but really, seeing what the other games brought to the series made it less and less fun for me.

I agree Mk2 is an excellent game, I do agree many, maybe most of the fans think it’s the best, but still, I have my opinion, and I think it’s really nothing when compared to MKDA. Compared with what U may be asking? I say: In the feeling, the depth of the game, the story, etc. Nothing that has to do with graphics, etc. I felt MKDA improved so much in depth that Mk2 was just nothing.

Yes, maybe I will, depending on how the game turns out to be. If its better then MKDA, I think yes.
