i'll see what i can do, maybe tomorrow. I never thought about the fan one. I'll have a look and see if anything can be done there.

omg. You added a whole new dimension to that stage.
I like the after-edit far better than the original.
Good job!

I wonder how much the other stages can be improved.

I'll see what i can do about putting them up for download, it's just that it'll have to be the textures by themselves, you'll have to compile them using mk4strip.

I remember seeing one done a while ago that had blood on the blades in the prison, didn't look too bad at all.

You're right.

I checked the old MK4Strip projects page and there indeed was an edit of the Fan-stage.

Check it out here: http://www.asu.pstu.ac.ru/pages/sorcerer/mk4strip/ .

Awesome job with the stage. The background looks more like its MK2 ancestor. That is the Kombat Tomb, right?

That'd be good to have some arranged music to go with that, like I offered everyone.

In the VIEW folder there is a file called bmp2gfx. The command line is bmp2gfx filename.bmp, use the command on all the textures you need converted, then run compile from the root folder.

and with the well stage, there doesn't seem to be any texture (as far as can tell) behind the fan, so really there is no simple way of changing that smile it would've been nice to add a bit of blood behind there!

First read the help files with MK4Strip, i found them to be pretty helpful when i started playing around with it.
In short open up new dos prompt window, change to the mk4strip\view folder. Type bmp2gfx filename.bmp (for each texture changed). Then run compile from the root folder.

Dead easy!

Hope that helps
