I did not like it at all. The only music I like was the Kuatan Palace, and the Lava Shrine. All of the other music sucked IMO. I was really disappointed with the character select screen music. All of the previous mk's had great character select screen music. SO did you guys like the music in MKDA?

I dunno. MKDA's music just doesn't cut it for some reason. Except for the Lava Shrine, there aren't any ass-kicking tunes.

I only liked the Lava shrine, kuatan palace and drum arena's background music.

the acid bath stage music sucked ass. i found the select screen music to be very dull. I miss the MK1 and MK2 select screen music, even MK4 had good select screen music, it was sort of "Asian"..

I think Dan Forden needs to work up on some better tunes, or Midway should get a new musician for their game.

to be honest, i cant even tell there is music most of the time, i can only here it when im trying too, so you could say i was deeply sadened by the music in MKDA, i woiuld love to see it improved in the next game, hopefully they will use the soundtrack feature on X-BOX.

Im gonna be honest, I didnt like the music in DA too much. The only tracks i liked were the character select screen, the tomb and the lava shrine..everything else to me sucked ass. Come on Forden, we all know you can do better than this. Much better.

thats exactly what i was gonna say-hell i didnt even realise there was music (beside the character select music), im always hearing the charactes voices/wepons/the conversation im having with my friends about mk.
yeah i think it could be improved upon in the next mk installment...or i could just turn the volume up tongue.

I dont wanna go against the great majority of this board. I thought it was okay, but not that good. The character select music and the lava shrine are the most memorable I would say.

The House of Pekara had good music I think. It had a nice foreboding sound to it. I know the music in MK was supposed to be atmospheric rather than something you can hum while walking down the street but there is something to be said about music with more presence. Frankly, I would like to hear Techno Syndrome from the films during the last boss fight. I think what MK needs is music that has more presence. Not like character themes or anything Street Fighterish but music that's more memorable.

To be honest, I don't remember much of what the music in MKDA was like. But, from what I remember, I thought it was ok, but I think it could have been better. Sometimes I felt that the music didn't really suit the atmosphere of MK, but the music itself was ok.

If MK had music like in the Guilty Gear series I'd be one happy gamer. grin

But as it is, the music in DA wasn't too bad and it fit pretty well... It's just there wasn't all that much variety between the songs, they all kind of sounded too plain and uniform.

I thought the music in MKDA was alright. I enjoyed the Lava Shrine, Quan Chi's, Lin Kuei Temple, etc. I didn't like how some tracks were used over again on different levels. I think the sound quality was way better then the previous mks because of the next gen systems... but I also think that the music from previous MK games was slightly better.

I thought MK: DA music was ok. To me MK3's soundtrack is the best MK sound track ever. Next to MK2s sound track. The main reason why I didn't like MK: DA's soundtrack that much was because it was so close to techno. I have nothing against techno music , but to me it shouldn't have been in a MK game. Still to me MK: DA is the best MK game ever. I hope MK6's sound track is better
I thought it was ok as well.
Ones I liked:

Lost Tomb
Lava Shrine
Character Select
Drum Arena
House of Pekara
Fatality Music (Finally something different from Dun Dun Dun!)

The others I didn't mind too much, but I guess they could've been better.
But I must say, that the Konquest music was absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! Gah it gave me a headache.

I don't think the music was number 1# on the MK Teams list. Do I like it? No, but for the setting and story of the game it fits.
