Edenia is another realm like Earth. Outworld is a collection of many realms that Shao Kahn conquered in the past. If earth would have been taken by Shao Kahn in mk3 it would have become part of Outworld.

This is very interesting. Now I understand some things in MK3, when it says that the Earth become a part of Outworld.

But, what happens now that Shao Kahn is gone? All the other realms that was under his control will go on a rebellion to take control?

I belive in Nitara's ending she was after that orb so she could seperate her realm from Outworld. Also in MKDA's storyline is that Kitana's Edenian forces are at war with Shao Kahns. So I suppose with the death of Shao Kahn there is a void of power...but I think the Dragon King will most likely be taking over Outworld...but it is difficult to speculate since we know nothing about the dragon kings motives. Either way It's most likely possible for the varius realms contained within Outworld to seperate themselves since obviously Edenia has .. as well as Earth realm in MK3.

Yeah, Kahn wanted to give his realms a better name than "Shrine of Shao Kahn's conquests" realm.
