Even if that is true, do you want to see 500 more topics about the same thing? Like 12:43? I didn't say there is or isn't a final secret, just what we know about it, if it's real.

I think he was posting this for new members, so they don't post repeated topics about any final secret.

Dude, there has already been 500 threads about a 'final secret' and there will probably be more.

Exactly I said this A LOT of time before the is NO LAST SECRET or NOOB this damned game is already old for secrets!

A couple of things...

Ed was not the one who originally said there was a final secret. It all came from the Fight Night chat, when Paulo Garcia said, "There is atleast one secret that is not known yet on all the platforms. As far as I know noone has found it yet."

Secondly, while Ed did not confirm that the version code is the final secret... he didn't deny it either. On the other hand, I have been told the version code was the final secret by a source who wishes to remain anonymous.

My personal theory is that the version code was a QA test tool that was left in the game, and members of the development team assumed that someone in the fan community would find it eventually. That led to the mention of the unrevealed secret at Fight Night. Keep in mind that they never mentioned it was anything great or grand, so it's possible it's the version code.

Again, that's just my theory; the truth of the final secret has yet to be fully revealed or proven. If it is ever revealed, we'll know then. Until then, all we have is our own speculation based on what has been released.

Just my $.02...

If it is the version code, I think we'll all be a bit disappointed... I'm still holding out for another secret character...

(Including the question mark) and i don't think it was directed at anyone.

I've debated on whether to post this or not several times now, as I don't intend to add to the many many things posted as to 'Final Secret Theories', but at least I can do it here without starting a new thread...

Several times during the Konquest section of MKDA, I've been able to do something that could either be considered a bug or as part of what could be the final secret. I do not know if it has been reported as a bug or not, but if it has then ignore this post.

During the loading screens, on which many people have said that a shadowy figure lurks in the pictures there, I've been able to get the screen to freeze once it's finished 'Loading'. I'm not sure exactly what buttons combo makes it do this, but it sprang from me trying the traditional Up + Start. Once the screen is frozen, I can use the directional controls to produce the sounds used when selecting things on the menu, and can unfreeze it by hitting start again.

Long post, I know, but I figured I'd put it out there anyway. It could just be some sort of graphical glitch, in where the loading screen stays but I am actually accessing the menu you get when you pause the game. I'm not exactly sure. But it also could be a point where a code could be entered.

Food for thought...

I tried to get it to do this today and it worked, but then I moved down 3 spaces and hit start, which made me quit Konquest, and brought me to the main screen... which was all black. I finally managed to hit arcade, and the only thing that was there was the background and the fighter icons. No picture of them with their profile... then the fight started fine, and when I quit everything was normal, so I'm guessing it's a glitch... I wonder what the krypt would of looked like though

Very cool - thanks for doing some more testing on it, I haven't had much time to explore it yet. From what you've found, though, it does seem to be a glitch.

We still haven't found everything in MK2 according to someone from Midway (can't remember who it was).

Exactly

For MK2, someone should tell, I mean, damn its been like 10 years. I believe there is a final secret and it probably is a button combination, but there are too many variables to just "find out" the secret in a short amount of time. So, no point in getting my hopes up, Im not expecting it to come out any time soon.


P.S. Not that this matters, in MK1 for snes, some way I teleported with Scorpion without doing a punch, I just faded and reappeared, Ive seen it done many times, but 1994 was a long long time ago.
