There are practically no game dedicated controllers on the market that dedicated players really use.
There are dedicated controllers for many games and of course not only fighting ones. Many SF players use official SF controllers for example.

Arcade controls these days are almost identical to the arcade controls of old.
I beg to differ. They're way more precise and sensitive now, but it depends on the producer.

I really doubt many people have spent any real time using keyboards for things like fighters. I know I only did because I bought a gamepad that sucked and wanted to keep trying combos in UMK3 without buying a replacement. And low and behold combos were possible on the keyboard that I could never get on anything else. I could probably even grab clips of things done in game on keyboard that I would have almost no chance of doing otherwise. Like getting jump kick on grounded opponent -> spin with Kung Lao midscreen. The speed of the keyboard is just too good.
You guys talk "fighters" and think "MK". I know that for MK keyboard is better and I've already said that. But have you spent any real time using keyboard for the games I mentioned for instance? And don't tell there's no such possibility, 'cause there is.

Hopefully the couple of keyboard controllers I have in the works will be ready for the next console tourny and a few interested parties and I can try them out in real competition to see if they hold up at all. Should be fun.
Interesting. I hope you'll share your test results with us after that. BTW, are you doing them yourself? Post a hardware test when they're done

TakerMK's comment was warranted because the original explanation was baseless.
His "lol" was lame, because he didn't post any counter-argument to my, like you said, "baseless explanation", which actually really wasn't baseless at all.

Keyboard is indeed the superior form of control to all.
I'm sorry, but it's nothing more than your opinion. Say it to the best fighting (and other) game players of this world. And I don't mean UMK3

In any event, a no locking instant reaction keyboard style controller, would be the way to go.
I agree that in MK it would be a better choice, but definitely not "in any event". Besides, would it still be a keyboard? It would be more of an arcade controller with additional buttons/keys instead of a stick.

We have the vision.
Then make it happen. Invent such a controller, sell it to people and become rich. Oh, and send me one, 'cause I'd really like to test it

I'll say it again: do you think that it wouldn't have been already made if it was indeed a better way of control?
