And while we're on the subject, how much do longer do you expect to play it?
I know some of you hardly ever play it anymore, if at all. I also know how some hardcore MK fans are, how they play a MK for years on a regular basis as sort of a meditation.
I fall into the later catagory. I played all the MKs on a regular basis until the next MK comes out. Man, I really played the hell out of MK4.
Anyway, I plan to play MKDA on almost a daily basis until MK6 comes out. How about you guys?

I'll usually stop playing a game for a while, then suddently get the urge to play again. It happened after a 1 month break from Super Mario World back in 1993.

Eh I'm not sure about that. Friends don't necassarily mean competition. They're not as serious about fighting games as me so I usually have to button mash to even make the games fun

I play MK:DA on and off now. I recently started up playing again to try and unlock all the koffins.. which i finnaly managed to complete last night. So i will probably drop off playing it a little bit. But will continue to play from time to time.
I still play the original MK, MK2 and MK3 from time to time. Im not a huge fan of fighting type games, but the MK series has always had a special place in my heart, and will continue to do so.. and as such, I will always have time to return to any of the games in the series.

I played everyday when I fist got it - about three weeks after release. That lasted for about, oh, a week. LOL!!
Now I play like two or three days for about 2 hours each. Actually, it more like two days, three is rare, and it's scattered. Most of that play is combo related and mix-up-play-around-and test stuff.
However I play Tekken everyday. I used to play it for like five days a week, staying in the arcade for like 8-10 hours sometimes. How did I manage that and still do good in school? God had my back, there is no other reason.
But ya, my DA time has dropped considerably. I want to get a gathering up here in Seattle. i know a lot of peeps who play, but it's hard to manage and arrange schedules. Anywho, peace and love ya'll.

I play it every once a while, I haven't mastered the game yet. For me mastering the game means to beat the whole roster with all MK characters at Max. Difficulty. (Obviously without losing).
The problem is that I can't help playing first with some of my favorites characters (Sonya, Bo', Quan Chi) and then I get bored or have to do someting else, so I don't have the chance to finish the game with the others that I dont like that much like Sub-zero, Shang Tsung...

I still play it... IF I have time (which I am in terrible lack of these days) and IF one of my brothers or friends is around to fight against. I don't fight the CPU anymore, it's too easy, too predictable and still to artificial for my tastes. I like the real deal :p.
I'll probably keep playing it until MK6 comes out, with regular ups and downs.
Peace,

I threw it in the corner, simply couldn't get myself accustomized to the shitty new controls although I unlocked every single bit of krap...
I still play MK Gold and MK4 (N64) and MK2 very often, I only like the klassikal groove and not this kopied SC/Tekken-fucked-up-shit!!

I do wish the combos were more user friendly. I do truely hate it when I screw up a combo in the heat of the battle, that never happened with the other MKs. And there are a lot of useless moves, due to general weakness or bad recovery time.
Having said all that, I still really like MKDA. I mostly like the stance changing and blocking system.
PS - I was really frustrated with this game at one point, but once you start feeling it, it's much better, don't give up.

Actually, I've found the MK online community to be relatively pleasant people. You just had a negative response because you tend to call people stuff like idiots and scrubs, and just seem to have a generally bad attitude towards people on this board. How did you honestly think people would respond to that?
But still, I don't hate anyone here. I would love to play against you all some day.
