In MKL's defense:

From the very first conversation I had with MKL on AIM months ago, I knew right then and there that he knew the game inside and out. I mean, I'd played the game for 48 hours straight when I brought it home plus hours and hours leading up to our conversation, and I didn't know even a fraction of the stuff he was telling me off the top of his head.

I can see how you guys get rubbed the wrong way when he posts things like "you are all idiots" or some shit like that, but can you blame him? Every time he tries to help you guys out and share his MK knowledge, he get's attacked and told he doesn't know what he's talking about. MKL knows exactly what he's talking about.

Every single strategy, setup, or trap that MKL has told me about I have put to use and it has improved my game 1000 times over.

I totally realize he knows what he's talking about, I use many combos and tactics he discovered first.

Even so, there are much of the stuff he says I don't take as gospel. I disagree about points here and there, tier and whatnot. I mean I have a hard time believing that MKL knows EVERYTHING about MKDA, and I don't think that's unreasonable.

Just teach what you know if you seriously like helping and don't let people get to you. There's no use even teaching if you're just going to continue being a dick to everyone that disagrees. Take pointers from Lex's UMK3 post at shoruken. Not everyone knows you or knows how good you are and this isn't a job where you're the boss and you can push everyone around who doesn't know what they're doing.

lol..........example. i say BRC beats mavado or scorp beats kitana, someone states that they believe that the matchup is the other way around. when i try to correct them and show them y they r wrong IN AN ATTEMPT TO HELP THEM i get attacked and hear shit like "i hope u get a wake up call etc...." or " u r arrogant and it shows by u not seeing my point and always thinking u r right" now i may not know everything about MKDA but i probably know everything thats useful. i'm sure i dont know a worthless glitch here and there but thats about it. i will never state ANYTHING that is not 100% fact. even back on day 1 when i said scorpion was #1 and its funny cuz even now most of u still havent listned to me and realized this yet and most people that have still dont know exactly y hes #1. and for teh record.........i am the Mk2-4 world tourney champ so i dont think that me being the best at MKDA or at the very least a top 3-5 player is unbelieveable so maybe it would help if people listend to me more then argued with me on weither i am right or not. i have a proven track record over the years for many games actually but since this is a MK board we'll just stick to the MK games.

As for your mk2-4 world champ thing, why did you and even Lex make different lists as to who's the best without you even on the damn list? Tournaments must not mean that much then.

OMG........anyway, I play it everytime I get the chance. I dont have a console, I have to go to the mall to play, and stay for 6 or 5 hours.

MKDA is the best game ever, and I dont think Ill ever get bored of it.

lex didnt test untill wavenet UMK and on that list he didnt even mention Mk4 and he posted that the list was based off the people that he has personally played. by the time he was top in UMK game everyone outside chicago had long stoped playing(not that it matters cuz for the most part all the top players were in chi).........at least i did which is y we never played untill ECC a few months ago and he beat me but in my defence i havent played that game since 95/96 and he still plays that game all the time. and like i said, there r a few people that r better then me at MK2-4 now, but not many. so thats y i am not on that list.

PS: lex is VERY good at UMk and i am in no way saying that even if we both played at r primes that i would beat him i am just saying that he still plays and i dont care about UMK anymore

I really can't see, how some tournement in one spot on the globe, can make you or anyone the UMK Player! This world is pretty large, and has plenty of folks that play MK ritually.
