thats EXACTLY what i was gonna post. you guys are speaking as if you have played all the worthy mk players in the worth. and i have to say that is very arrogant of you. to be honest i have only ever lost a few fights at mkda (and i have played ALOT of ppl) but i would never ever say i was one of the best, because there is always someone better. and yes, that includes the people here claiming they are the best, of course theres someone better than you. i can at least say that i am a very good mkda player, and so can you guys, coz you do sound like you know your stuff, but cmon, your definitely not the best.

I've tried to tell him this, he won't listen. I don't think he realizes how much some people play the home versions.

There's a dude on this board who has like 400 globes and constantly plays the AI on max with a 50% handicap. Naturally, MKL has nothing to learn from such scrubs...

To a certain extent, yes. You get the much needed practice inside the game. You learn character animations, your response time increases to counter attack, You get the combos down and learn how to land and execute them in combat, rather than fantasy practice mode. After a while, everything becomes instinct, not much thought required.

But your point is valid, there's nothing like a skilled human opponent. That's why my game is probably really lacking against many here, all my human competition sucks ass.

However, 400 globes is a friggin LOT. That kind of time inside the game is just bound to improve your overall game.

tourneys were in the arcade, there were a lot of people there and there was foregin comp, and yes that was me and lex at ECC doing UMK exibitions.

they do determin who is the best. but those games r no longer played like they were back then. players like myself moved on to other games no naturally u arent as good as u were in 92-95. who is currently #1 now HAS NO BEARING ON WHO WAS #1 WHEN THE GMES WERE AT THEIR PRIME!!!!! if 10 years from now someone beat justin wong in MVC2 does that mean that the world tourneys that he is winning now mean nothing??!!! I only play when my friends come over because they are just as good as me. I beat the game so I have no other reason to play it, and I have gotten good with every character(except Li Mei because I hate her)

You should take your own advice...I don't visit the DA part of this forum very often anymore cause frankly I'm kinda sick of the game so I usually stick to general disc. Anyway, all the posts I've ever seen from you are arrogant, rude, and generally just putting people down. I've gotten MK :D A 2 days before offical Launch and since have been playing it at least once a day cause I love it so much.

I haven't played it much since I got everything,that was back in January.

Well, I just got a PS2(don't laugh) and that was the first game I got because that's the only one I really wanted. So I play it pretty much whenever I can.

Put it this way,

My MKDA is collecting more dust than a vaccum cleaner

I just got the game last week so I play it daily for about an hour. The only other MK game I play is MKII on the SNES. Right now, I'm looking for MK4 for N64.

i haven't played in quite a hile but that's only because i recently got a PS2 and i've been playing some RPGs for it the last couple of months. the thing is that i have the XBox version of MKDA and i don't really have room for two consoles in my setup. i live in a really small appartment and i play in the bedroom so i don't have much space. however, i am moving in a big house this month and i'll have my own room there, woohoo! so i'll get a system selector and i'll have both of my consoles plugged in all the time and i'll playing lots of MKDA then.

The last time I played it was like 2 months ago... To be honest this game bores me alot now... It's cool and stuff... but there are much more entertaining games like Killer Instinct 1 or 2... which I rather play from time to time
