I wasn't really "feelin' it" with MKDA's character select screen

I'm a true MK player, and I love MKDA. But to me the character select screen was kind of dissapointing.
1) the character renders looked like 2D drawings (really good drawings at that).. but I prefer the old school sprites of the character in motion when the select cursor is on the characters icon.
2) the blue background and flames on the bottom were too... plain. I remember seeing earlier screenshots of MKDA when it was in E3 when the game was debuted, the columns in the background were excellent.
3) the music: SUCKED! MK1, 2, 4, MKG, all had great asian type music that would get you pumped up before a fight. But the select screen music in DA made me fall asleep.
I feel that it is very important for a select screen layout to make the player get that slight adrenalin rush that he's about to kick some ass. anyone seeing my point? I hope this will improve in MK6. peace.

wahahahahahahahahahaha........asian type music. TOO FUNNY. the other Mk's didnt have asian music either. anyway, i agree on the music being really bad on the DA character select screen but its only cosmetic. i really only care about gameplay.
i liked the character select screen and the music really didnt bother me... i thought the 2-D drawings where awesome... the one thing that would have made it better though is if they had a smaller animated version of the character moving below the big 2-D drawing of the character...

I liked the music.
But the character select screen, how you like the characters on the side downing the poses, they stoped that since 4. But i thought the characters were great looking.

What I want is when youre highliting a character's sqaure, I would like the square to be big so you can actually see the face of a person.

Cool Idea.I didnt like MKDA's select screen the one that was at E3 looked good but it looked alot like Dead Or Alive 3's select screen.MK2 had the best select screen they should start using that again they need better mugshots and music.

I never paid much attantion to the music. I don't usually pay much attention to video game music; although the music for MK1'a fighter select screen was cool.
I don't feel the fighter select screen is really that important, like _NE0_ said, it's the gameplay that matters most.

I thought the music in DA was fine... I thought the select screen was fine...but like someone else said I would have liked to have seen a 3d model standing there as well.

Yes, yes, my point also, everything about this game did not feel like MK at all, even the freakin char select screen.
