Pretty bad list to represent IGN as a whole. It says "IGN Names Top Ten Fatalities" not "IGN intern names Top Ten Fatalities Off the top of his head"

Yeah, just for the heck of it, I posted my top 10 off the top of my head in the comments after I saw the article earlier today.

Honestly, I wouldn't have chosen many of the fatalities that he chose, but if it's just his personal opinion, which it seems to be, then more power to him. If it's supposed to be IGN's unofficial list though, then yeah, it could've been a lot better.

Not to say that I'm bent out of shape over it. I'm not at all. But some of the picks were surprising, to say the least.

Oh and who said that there were no good fatalities after MK3? I'd take Quan Chi's MK4 fatality of ripping the guys leg off and beating them down with it over all but a few in the entire series.

Just my 2 cents though.

I thought that was wierd too, but maybe they're keeping it strictly retro-MK in light of MK 2011 which is only from the first 3 games. Quan Chi's leg-ripping fatality was insane.

I just think it's ridiculous to say that he doesn't know Mortal Kombat when he's listing fatalities that he likes that others don't. It is dumb to say "Oh he doesn't know Mortal Kombat because he likes Jax's growth fatality!" Like I said, it's as dumb as arguing that people can't play Mortal Kombat because they tend to jump too much during the fight... Ri-freaking-diculous. And with that stated, everyone needs to stop taking these fatality lists so seriously. Everyone is entitled to have whatever fatality they like as a part of their list. This isn't your list, this was his list. And if you don't like what he had to say, then that's ridiculous to get upset over and claim that he doesn't know Mortal Kombat at all.

I thought this list was genius. The first time ever some guy drank a few beers and just named some fatalities off the top of his head and then published it to a big game website. Then he says you guys make your own list. Brilliant!

List is flawless.

Not a perfect list but its clearly in fun and not serious. It is obvious that the guys at IGN have a sense of humor too so I agree with the last post and people should not take this list as the real top ten but it is a definite list of opinion if actually taken seriously. All in all I rate the list a 7.5/10.

Actually, it sounds more like he's listing the first ten fatalities that'll spring to mind in under two minutes which is probably the same amount of thought IGN put into this which isn't the least bit surprising. But hey, the more publicity MK gets the better - even if beyond lazy. Stay basic, IGN.
