OMG...........u must be joking. tekken 4 is WAY better. i mean not only is the game solid but look how much comp there is for it especially when compared to MKDA. it wouldnt matter if MKDA was better in every way to T4(which it isnt), the fact that T4 has tournaments where people actually show and it has a community of people who r willing to travel for comp/tourneys makes it way better then MKDA. what good is a great fighting game if there is no comp for it. i mean u hear this on the forums all the time here "wait till MK6.....then we can finially play each other and see who is the best" but u dont see tekken players say "wait till T5 so we can all play". u know y u dont see that, cuz tekken has MAD comp now and MKDA has none. i stopped playing MKDA cuz no matter how good i was it didnt matter cuz no one but me was willing to go to tourneys. once i saw that MKDA would never have the comp that other fighters do i went back to T4, and just so u all know, in the actual high level tourney scene MKDA is laughed at and not respected as a fighter. maybe MK6 will do ok but i believe that even with online that u will still have the same lag problems as mame. i believe that without an arcade presence of MK6 or a community/fan base of people who r willing to leave their homes and travel for comp that MK6 will be like MKDA is now.............dead.

I agree with Ne0. MK6 won't even be online I bet. My arcade finally got T4 just the other day and it's far more fun going there and playing against people I don't know even if I suck than being a great MKDA player with no comp or playing against the same people ALLLLL the time. My friends don't even play anymore. I pretty much got everything I could out of the game. I think it's time for me to move on. I'll still keep playing MK but only for fun. It just doesn't have the comp like NE0 said. That in a fighting game is very bad. I guess if you have lots of friends who play MK all the time it's still fun. But since it's console only it'll never have that competition scene it used to have. That and the blood and fatalities just don't interest me anymore. So basically all I'm getting is a very lackluster fighter that wears off very quickly. I'm probably looking like a hypocrite but it's just the truth. MK just can't compare anymore IMO.

lol, i dont suck. i played it all the time...until mkda came out. then i sold it. i never did like tekken, or vf. the gameplay feels too "stiff". i dont like the way the characters move or jump. mk has more freedom then those games. mk may not be as deep, but is a hell of a lot more fun to play.

how they hell are u guys gonna come to a MORTAL KOMBAT fourm and talk about how much better soul caliber and tekken are. If u like them so much go to one of their fourms

MK, in any form will never be respected by certain crowds, that's just the way it is. As for MKDA being dead because there are no more tourneys, not everyone thinks like that. I still play MKDA everyday so it's far from dead to me. See how that works?

And just in case you don't know, it's considered rude to bash a game on it's own board. And it's perfectly acceptable behavior to bash Tekken all you want on a MKDA board. I take it you know that, but anyway. We all know the about the Tekken scene and how they hate MK, there's no need to remind us.

You just summed up exactly how I feel. I always have a hard time putting it into words. They....just....don't.....move.....right. I can't get past it, it's not logical, but there it is. Something about them just bores me to tears. They may be much deeper and better than MKDA, but frankly they are so boring to me I will never learn how to play them properly.

heh..............i was Mk from day 1 and its main major tourney winner through the entire 90's so believe me i didnt want to move on past MK and KI but MK was dead after MK4 and i had to move on so i went to tekken. now i didnt care for TTT that much but i still played for the comp but T4 is a fucking masterpiece. now i am an MK fan and i always was and i am saying this very unbiastly. as much have been an MK player thoughout my gaming life i cant deny that T4 has no problems like bendover and scorpio say. T4 has no problems with movement. the ss moves better and the game flows at an overall faster pace then MKDA, now i feel that both games r good but with lack of comp MKDA gets old. i mean, unless u like playing the computer untill MK6 comes out rather then playing humans and competeing. now i am high level at both MKDA and T4 so as i said this may be the only unbiast opinion on this forum.

maybe thats y T4 is boaring to u, cuz u arent playing it right. i have come across many people who hated on MKDA untill they saw the right way to play it. when T4 is played right its very fast paced and agressive with lots of jabbing so its really not boaring when its played right.

Yeah, I admit to being ignorant of T4. Just can't get past that Tekken feel. And MKDA is a much better game than most Tekken fans realize. Their problem is they try to play MKDA like Tekken, and that frustrates them. They say stuff like "but you can block throws, MKDA sucks" or "reversals and impales are too powerful". Just says to me they aren't playing the game right at all.

Agreed 100%. From an MK fan who's been there since day one and played non stop for over 10 years, it just can't compete. Not because it's a bad fighter. It is my favorite fighter to play. It just can't compete on a tournament level. Can't compete as far as hardcore players is concerned (let's face it, this forum proves there's about 20 max hardcore MK players). Please don't try to say there's more out there that don't have the internet. Because if that's the case, Tekken could start it's own country with hardcore fans. I'll be an MK fan until I die. Just saying it's hard to play seriously anymore when there's games like Tekken and SC where hardcore players are everywhere. It's impossible not to find some competition for either series. I'm already making new friends in the Tekken scene and have played some good people. Unless MK goes back to the arcades again, I never see that happening. Basically what it comes down to is don't let my words spoil the party. I love MK and always will. But competition is another thing and it's useless for me to spend day and night mastering MK with no one to show it off to. That's what NE0's saying and myself.

The online scene may just change a lot of that. How long until Tekken goes online? DOA is about to go online right? Any other fighters online yet?

i guarentee u that MK6's online play will have lag problems just like mame. some people will have a lot of lag, some a little, some will have lag that is berely even noticed but all in all it wont be right untill they can put fighters onine with NO lag. anyway, MK6 will have the same problems as MKDA unless the MK community decides that they r willing to travel for comp and hold/attend tourneys.
