I cant wait also, i just hope later on they decide to add even more games. I wouldnt mind if the rest of the MK games came out in a hopefully next game called midways arcade classics 3, which would hopefully include MK Gold and trilogy.

Excellent! MK3 is a great game. And I found out how great when my friend gave me MK3 for PlayStation on Friday. Though I do hope they put Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on there. But I can't wait to see MK and MK2 on there in nice, PlayStation 2 glory. Or X-Box, it depends.

EXCELLENT news!

Now if they could just add MKGold(or MK4) it would be perfect!

the PS and N64 version of MK4 was not really good graphic wise.

I will get it for sure, but adding MK4 would be a really nice bonus!

You know what MK3 had that UMK3 didnt, story and pictures at the beginning of the game, as well as ending pictures. sorry, im just a little picky. i also didnt like how you had to play the 4 new levels 2 times before going on to the old ones.

I agree, thats one reason of why I rather see Mk3 then MkU. I loved those pics.

Man, I can't wait. MK1, MK2, and MK3 on one disc! What it needs is MK1, MK2, and MKT. MKT was an upgrade of MK3.

As I've stated before, the only way I'll buy this is if it's perfect ports of the arcade and not just slapping the PS1 versions of 2 and 3 on which I can picture them doing.

I really can't decide which is better news - the announcement of MK6 and seeing some impressive screenshots or the announcement of arcade ports of MK's 1, 2, and possibly 3 for the next-gen consoles (something I've been wanting to happen for a long time) in a single package.

It's definitely been an exciting past couple weeks!

By the way.. MK Gold and MK Trilogy definitely won't be on any ''Midway Arcade Treasures'' compilation, because neither of them were arcade games. MK Gold might make a nice re-release on a MK Kompilation disc for the next-gen consoles since so many of us MK gamers never bought a Dreamcast. But MK Trilogy would make a horrible re-release on any compilation in my opinion cause both the PS1 and N64 versions sucked and didn't add anything new or worthwhile to the series. They should have just done a Kompilation instead.

I do have one very good question though, and I encourage everyone to think about this for a minute. Will morphing be intact in the MK games and will they be free of loading times on ''Midway Arcade Treasures 2?'' It seems that this was such a big issue in the past with disc-based systems, so it makes me wonder how Midway will address that problem this time around.

yeah your right Ermacwins,

but MK4 was an arcade game and I hope it will make it in the Midway classics... I can sound annoying but if they would put a perfect arcade port of MK4 as well, I would be so freaking happy!!!
