Do you think Kitana's father (Jerrod) is a ninja? It makes sence because she is a ninja, Sindel is not a ninja, we never saw a picture of him, so there is no proof that he is not.

Okay, Kitana may be dressed like a ninja, but I don't see anything in the storyline pointing to her having studied or practiced the art of Ninjutsu! In fact, the only TRUE ninja in the MK series I am aware of is Scorpion. Let's just leave it at that.

DrCube, stop posting like a complete fuckwit. You're on a Mortal Kombat fan forum, we're all equally dorky.

I don't think Jerrod is a ninja seeing as how Shao Kahn did away with him before taking over Edenia.
In MK:D's Konquest mode, there is a statue of Jerrod in Edenia, which just happens to be missing it's head. He is definately not a ninja.

I think the fact that 9 out of 10 characters in MK games are ninjas is pretty strong evidence that everyone in the MK universe, unless stated otherwise, is a ninja.

In fact, the only character I can think of that's not a ninja is Baby Baraka... but he's so damned cute that it just doesn't matter.

I guess you're right. It's closer to 9 out of 9 characters.

62 characters in MK, 59 are ninjas with either the spear or the teleport and the other 3 have freezeballs or the slide.

Maybe by saying 9 out of 9 characters are pallette swap ninjas, I was making a statement about the laziness of the MK makers.


But maybe I just can't count and I think that everyone's a ninja. And maybe I'm a fucking retard who doesn't understand when someone's making a joke.

True, and not true. But let me explain. Sub-Zero is a Lin Kuei okay, and even though they are a Chinese Ninja, they don't like to call themselves Ninjas but they are. Their former Gransmaster left the Lin Kuei to start the Shirai Ryu, that is why the new Lin Kuei Grandmaster has the entire clan eliminated, and the bones of Takeda for payment of Sub-Zero's services. But the Lin Kuei are in fact ninjas.
