Check, HPs/HKs after lightening with Rain is blockable man. You can do HPs/HKs after Kitana's Air Fan Throw too and etc.. but still blockable.

Dave i really dont know how the second variant is easier for you, the triple aaLP is so easy:

Haha, I heard the backround music in the beggening...

I'll give it a try and edit this post if I get it.

FIRST EDIT: You son of a... were you canceling? God damnit! You could have told me yesterday! I would have saved so many hours. More than my dignity will allow me to say... (2)

I don't think I should double post like this, but here I go. It's about 4 hours later because my friend was here to pick me up for "work" as I was uploading. I actualy have never worked a job for money yet. I do so much volunteer stuff. I'm working (and eating diner) at a concesion stand at a soccer field. It's pretty neat. I always do this stuff with a friend so I don't mind not getting paid money.. I get paid in soft drinks wink

Psykosonik, your way is MUCH easier. This was my first time canceling moves (besides with specials) so I expiremented with what works best. I found RUN was good because if you mess up, no big deal. Unlike block, which will stop you in your tracks. But what worked best for me for LP is moving right along to LK. That way I'm guaranteed to have the proper timing and it's easier. That's how I got the infinite. Since I loaded up ePSXe it took about 20 minutes to get that WHOLE infinite recorded. Most of which was messing around with CANCELS. This is alot better than working two hours on the one with jax and only getting about 1/2 the way through it.

Here it is: http://www.zippyvideos.com/8385091244843286/noob_infinite/ LINK The audio desynched during recording, no biggie

This seems download worthy to me, but I only know how to use Filefront, but it takes too long and it's sometime undependable. I just want something that I can directly link. a right-click, "save as..." kinda thing. If I find something I'll post it.

Thanks again Psykosonik/DED_, the way you explained it I though I had to hit them with LP "as soon as possible". so I was doing it right after the teleport without running. grin

Run canceling HPs has been talked about in a lot of gameplay threads, and I cover it in the general gameplay post in the character guides thread.

The 9th installment of UMK3 goodness from the Darktemplarz has arrived. ded_ Shock and DreemerNJ present to you "UMK3: Shattered" in what is possibly the most ridiculous video we've ever done. It is 9 minutes with new infinites, 100%s, big damage, and eye candy combos. Over 60 combos total.

copy and paste into a new browser:

Coincidence. Shattered was close to being done as early as a few weeks ago but I ended up on the road a lot and got held up before the final finishing touches.

But its done, finally, after a very long period of development.

Even I can't believe a lot of the combos that Shock and ded_ managed to pull off for this.

My personal favorites of this video are the Sindel combo that finishes off the vid (glitch canceling done so well that the combo looks easy, but I dare anybody on earth to try to reproduce it) and the Kitana double fan fatality because it looks like it belongs in a versus game or something.

Ridiculous, I mean absolutely f*ckin ridiculous.
So many combos, I'm gonna have to watch it over again to pick out my absolute faves, there are honestly just too many that made me go wow From the first Scorpion uppercut - spear to the very last Sindel combo, it was amazing.

But if I'm pressed to choose one that I liked the best right now, I really thought the Kung Lao vs. Motaro was cool and funny. So cus it covers both I'll pick that one.

Two criticisms, though I am really nitpicking cus there is hardly anything to criticize. I personally didn't like the first song, but hey, that's just me.
And I thought there was a little too much of the Reptile insanity juggling. But other than that (and even for those I'm stretching to find real legit complaints) it was just awesome, probably the best vid you guys released.

Now I know why it took so long. The title suits the video pretty good.. lol

What I noticed this time is how almost every time you started a new combo it was a counter. Now we know how to apply it. It was neat to see the boss bashing.

I agree there were a lot of reptile dash varitations, but most of them were with Shand Tsung with alot of different setups. I think that ups his playability. We also got to see the corner infite, finally finished off. Dust off your hands guys, a job well done.

Released finally, now people can see why the vid takes so long to be released, it content is just ridicilious.

The sindel gc scream combo is probably the most ridicilious combo in the vid lol, it tooks us probably weeks to get

Ok, I just watched it again and here are my fave clips:

Scorp vs Scorp with the uppercut > spear

Kabal JK + fireball X4

Mileena 24 hits - 91% (sick, though kinda hard to fully appreciate the way it was presented imo)

Kitana throwing Sonya out of her leg grab

Kano cannonball whiff to uppercut

Shang > nightwolf and the 6 axes

Jade 9 hits - 95% (another of the sickest)

Kitana 13 hits - 85%, just awesome

Mileena going underneath Liu's low fireball (MKII stylewink)

Shang > Mileena w/ the triple sai toss (how is that possible? did you guys use a cheat to avoid charging the move?)

Reptile corner kill on Sonya, finaly completed from another vid I believe

Kung Lao on Motaro

Reptile on H Smoke (new multiple HP variation)

H Smoke 100%+ on Sektor

And of course, the best of the entire lot, though they were all great, the Sindel death combo to round off the vid, awesome.
---

Now, what is next on the agenda? The MK1 vid? MK3 vid? Wasn't there a new MKII vid coming? Or are you guys done for a while?

That's just how fast the Sai charges. The only cheat used was infinite life to keep trying combos on a character.

That video was awesome and really cleared up a lot of things for me. I'm not even really good, but after the video, I finally understood how to do Kabal's multiple jk/fireball. I got jk/fireballx3 after watching the video a few times.
You guys really do a lot to keep this game alive.

Yeah you can do a sai shot in the air as low to the ground as possible, and instantly press HP after releasing, land, jump and sai shot the instant you leave the ground. Apply this to the triple sai combo and there you have it.

What I'm going to do for the DVD is wait until after ECC11, and make a double DVD set and just advertise on the site that if someone wants a copy, they can Paypal me like $10 or something for time and ink because I'll print out a cover too. I actually might wait until I get a new computer this summer because I'll get a double density DVD burner, perhaps with one of those internal disc art burners too, and just put everything on one. Right now I have the master DVD for the UMK3.wmv through Mortal Personality Disorder, including Konqrr's MKII video. I will have to go through all the videos and recompile them again. The second DVD will include various match video footage from ECCX and 11 and some misc matches here and there, Maximum Damage, Shattered, and MKII SP1 when it's done.

The next MKII video hasn't been started yet, but it will soon. We have pretty much everything recorded. Konqrr will be putting that together. It'll be comparable to Shattered.

I want to make an MK1 video, but I need to take some time off from all this combo recording. We started recording combos in September for Shattered. I had about 5 combos on my computer I toiled with and then ded_ made like 15. When we broke 20 I was like "Well I guess we have to make another video." As time went on, we went over 50 combos, and that was in December. In January DreemerNJ made a little joke video of the director from MK2 being attacked by half a dozen characters as the intro.

He started putting the video together back then, and we added about 9 combos in the middle of it, lengthening the production time, and then changed about 9 more with upgrades, setting it back a bit more. So it was a total of over 7 months of production to make a 9 minute video. The entire time Dreemer was editing the video we were recording new combos, and we even scrapped about 10 that some of which weren't even because they were upgraded. There's 72 files in my folder for the video, a bunch are the countering Stryker combos, and some leftovers, but there's a little over 60 combos in the video that are to be taken seriously in terms of the video's presentation. There's a couple blockables here and there but no matter. We scrapped a blockable double fan Kitana combo using Shang Tsung but ded_ came up with a theory on getting it without Shang, and after talking about it and both of us trying he got it. There were a LOT of combos we just weren't satisfied with and forced ourselves to squeak out just a bit more.

I'm pretty much done with making combo videos for UMK3 now. I don't see how there could be anything else worthwhile investigating. Only like 3 characters can't do 100% on their own and I believe we've hit every lingering infinite there is. We can only do so many Ermac/Human Smoke/Reptile combos. I really enjoyed this video, I think it's the best one if you remove the fact that umk3.wmv is just "the first" of many to follow concept. Pretty much all I can say is watch for the DVD release, and also look at the stragegy guide thread for tutorial videos. That will be the next project.

Another side project that will give a reason to make the tutorial videos is the developement of ultimatemk.com. Keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks for the comments so far, I can't wait for more.

Cool, I have only ever been able to get 2 in a combo, but then again I haven't tried too hard

Awesome, but it's understandable you are gonna take a break. I'm planning on having a go at MK1 again soon, maybe record some lower revision-specific combos this time as well.

You know, when I was watching Ninja Grinder's new vid I was thinking that some of the new UMK3 and MKT footage, insane as it is, isn't as impressive as it should be. There has been so much saturation with the abundance of footage for these games, it just doesn't make me go wow anymore. Whereas Shattered was dead impressive, a return to the old eye-popping, "oh shit! " days. Since there isn't anything left to cover (except maybe a vid that is comprised entirely of all the UMK3 and MKT character's 100%'s and inf'swink) Shattered is the ideal send off for UMK3.

After reviewing the video on my psp (yes, it's like carpet you can watch outside, and in school wink ) I thought of more things to add:

The reptile corner infite, so far we have only seen it done on Sonya, coincedince or is there a reason?

I know you've edited old videos before. Alot of the Morph combos in this one were superior to those in MPD, which takes away some of it's apeal. Are going to add some of these in to MPD?

At 5:50-5:55, there is something with unmasked sub versus sheeva, I think it's that new exlusive infinite but it cuts out too soon to tell.

I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove the intro

How the heck do you do a spear after an uppercut? Can it also be done with human smoke (it was only done with scorp in video). I've seen something like that with robo-smoke against sheeva but it looks like mk3, can [anyone really.. doesn't matter] go into detail on this?

AWESOME vid! I cant decide wich combo was the best. Its between Kitana ́s, Sindel ́s or all of the Reptile stuff!

Glad to see that there is still impresive stuff to be discovered and it was nice that it was dedicated to The Prophet.

Side note: Shock, this isnt something that I really care but...didnt I submitted the 4 axe Nightwolf combo like 6 years ago on the Gamecombos.com forums? And it even was featured on our MKT matches and it even started a flame war on an SRK thread... so... That guy that appears on the credits... He couldnt have submitted it first or he just recorded it and sent it to you? Again, its something that I dont really care but its weird thet credits goes to him.
Also I have a bunch of new Nightwolf combos for UMK arcade. I will try to rec thyem (via handycam) and send them to you or ded_ to see if they are of good use. (Nightwolf corner Axe i100% UNBLOCKABLE!!)
Keep up the good job people.

Ok i will try to cover all your post. First about reptile corner infinite, its actually not an infinite. The maximum HP i ever got is 10 but i think one or maybe two more are possible, nvm its not an inf anyway and yes it works best on sonya, then shang and robots.

Tthe only one that was edited was actually maxdamage because of the 3 new 100% (sheeva, usub and jade), some few changes if i remember correctly was droped like wasteland stage in credits for sp3 and etc.

About Usub yeah its an inf here is the full clip, its just borring to watch the whole combo (its over 20 secs) so it was cutted like the triple morph shang combo, and mk2 raiden infinites.

The spear after uppercut is possible to be unblockable if you are under the opponent in corner, then the pushback will not be so much and you will have the time to drop harpoon/spear and it will not be blockable. It works with various moves: Kabal's Spin (there is even uppercut-spin combo in maxdam), Jade;s Dash Kick and etc.

Yeah i talked with Hanzo, its eventually possible to get huge damage with this one, but its not an inf, it should be if you have unlimited run. It would be still awesome to see 100% only with corner axes.

The multiple Axe midscreen Nightwolf combos seem to have been talked about a lot by a lot of different people. The problem was, in this case, finding someone that could do it, record it, and have it be unblockable. K3ns0ul did that so it could be in the vid, and he got the credit for it.
Very nice video again, I know have 1 Gigabyte of MK Combovideos lol.
