I'm really exited about this... You guys know towards the beggening of Kompletions theres that Noob Infinite at the dead pool stage I believe?
heh heh, yeah...
It's my first kill kombo of the day, week, month, year, decade, EVER!
Do you guys remember your first 100%? What was it?

It was probably some variation of a Kung Lao infinite.

Hmm, wow I think it was probably Liu Kang corner juggle with multiple fireballs. I think that was the first 100% I found or did really.

An Ermac corner vs Cyrax (got it from MK Kompletions I think):
TKS slam, aaHp, Hp, JK, RH, TKS slam, aaHp, Hp, JK, RH = death
Still one of my faves, cus it just feels like your really beating the crap outta them. Absolutely awesome combo guys

my first 100% combo should be cage's jps at mk1 arcade long time ago lol... as for umk3 its probably some of stryker's mid-screen then go into corner inf to get 100%...

My first 100% would be the corner basic Kung Lao infinite from UMK3, spin, SUJK spin, SUJP, spin, repeat untill dead, that is my personal favorite.
Oh and MK2KungBroken, nice VID!!
I recorded a cyrax 100% on the genesis, snes, N64, then psx. But for the psx it's only 99%. I compiled them below.
cyrax combo.wmv
Its about 5 megs, 40 seconds long.

it says 99% but its less actually, seems bombs do bigger dp for psx
For the last one (psx Trilogy) I had health recovery on (cheat in option menu) but it never changed the percentage before for any other combos. They never recover during a combo.
Usualy it takes about 30 seconds for the health to completely recover from almost death to full strength. It only moved 1% in about 10 seconds in that combo. I wanted to throw in some confusion but it does 100% without the health recovery cheat in. I wanted to see if there was an explanation to why sometimes the percent changes in certain cases, because I always practice combos with health recovery on (on trilogy), incase I mess up or something I wont have to continue and start a new match.

Heh? Not sure what you are trying to say.
The combo kills if health recovery is off (because with it on its constantly recovering life throughout the combo, just very slowly).
The percentage read out is not effected by the damage recovery in this case. The readout can never display a number higher then 99%. Similarly if you do a 100%+ damage combo in UMK3 with the infinite life code on, it will always display 99%.
I'm pretty sure the damage recovery never effects the damage readout for a combo. But, sadly, the low damage code does. It would be easier to test stuff if it didn't. But then again, its still off any time you use moves that don't add to the combo meter.
I think I understand it. The health recovery only affects how much health they have not the percent. So that's why the opponent didn't die and since there is no 100% display it had to show 99% since he was still alive. So the percentage won't change if I have health recovery on. That's all I wanted to know.

Yeah the actual read out will always be correct, but since they get a pixel or so back for every hit, and it continues throughout the combo, they might have like 10% life left in the actual bar by the time the last hit is done taking away energy. The game never displays over 99% or 99 hits even if the combo is 100%+ or 100 hits+. Some combos show a damage readout after kill if it's an unusally hit, like a comboed ducking LK after a combo.

I swear on my soul, that the Tekunin, will leave no survivers, good or evil! All because of you i lost my soul and my human body. My first was probably when i could not go to sleep playing UMK3. I was stuck on very hard mode facing Kabal. I lost a consecutive 45 times in a F****ing row! But i picked my fav person Sektor and in the 3rd round i trapped him in the corner and got him with the homing missile uppercut 100% combo. I was so proud.

what platform is that?

lol its a good thing the computer doesn't like to hit block.
LOL
EDIT: I'm going to try to make a RAIN gameplay video from the different home versions of umk3/mkt (Snes, Genesis, Playstation, etc). My goal in this is to show why rain is a hate/love character. I'm going to show many of his cheap moves, combos, and specials that can be done right after another. Do you have any ideas of specific ridiculous things I could put in involving rain, such as glitches, mad combos, or infs?

he has two infs as far as i know (psx) the first is in umk3.wmv vid and the second is in sp4
aaHP, aaRH, aaHP, aaRH
Fireball (move em up), Fireball miss, Fireball miss (time inf)
it was many years ago but i think he can combo with the lightening for sega genesis, it has no hit limits there...

I've seen the hp rounhouse infinite, thanks for telling me what version (psx). Otherwise I might have tried it for one version and couldn't do it then I would waste time on another.
I'll have to check service pack 4 for the other one.
Your right. The genesis port allows you to lightning combo them until they are dead. Very easy and something you can guarentee will be in the rain video.
EDIT: ~watches UMK3 sp4~ hm... what seems more 'broken'... N64 Trilogy or the old PSX trilogy (buggy)? From my experiance (probably nothing compared to veterans) the buggy version just has less gravity making it easier to juggle making infinites while the N64 port has broken rules allowing more moves to legnthen the combo.

That sounds about right to me about N64 vs buggy PSX. I was going to add also, that I think the Lightning has a larger window to hit someone in air in N64 which probably leads to more damage. In PSX it seems like they have to be on the ground to be hit by the lightning and thus they can block it in the middle of a combo, but there is probably some single frame, like the frame you have to hit for relaunch infinites that makes it comboable in other situations.

In N64 the collision box for the lightening is like Ermac's lift, it's hovering above the ground, for PSX I believe it is something similar to the hit box of the ground ice, but doesn't have the same properties I don't think, as in, if you HP someone the ground ice is inescapable. N64 has some hitboxes here and there that are just off. The second LP's hit box is often the same as a HP, weird.

I really thought we were done this time, but I guess after about 7 months of off and on combo testing and a lot of motivation from ded_, we have enough footage for another video. The next darktemplarz.com combo video "UMK3: Shattered" is on the way. It boasts 9 new infinites, many 100%s, a bunch of new/rehashed Shang Morph combos and other damaging/creative/upgraded combos. Over 65 combos in all, and featuring a handful from PSX MKT once again.
