They were revealed with an exciting new trailer during the Gamescom Xbox Showcase.

MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero took the digitzed graphics of the arcade klassics into a console side-scrolling adventure that sees players control Bi-Han, the elder Sub-Zero who appears in the first game, as he adventured through the underworld and beyond in events taking place before his arrival at the Shaolin tournament. Documentary features and design documents will take fans even deeper into the history of MK with a living museum and carefully curated content package that includes character profiles, behind the scenes details, and much more -- all presented in a suitably MK style. The Gamescom reveal also confirmed a Fatality Training Mode and a rare version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 known as WaveNet: a version exclusively tested in Chicago that connected directly to the Midway developer offices via T1 digital network. This version includes an unlockable Noob Saibot not found in the final game.
