I see you guys in here argueing about him and the entire time i was thinking "Why are they saying that? ...It happened to me" I thought that telling you guys what happened to me might change some minds, But it only made people bitter towards me for some reason. The topic isn't life or death, but we are seriously trying to come up with an answer for one of the biggest legends about the game. Telling us a vague story that goes against the evidence we have doesn't help. It just adds more rumor, speculation and mystery.

If Ermac exists it's almost certainly only in arcade. The only thin supporting his existance is only on arcade(pic, audits, Boon interview). The idea of it being in two different platforms by two different developers is so absurd it's not even worth considering.

GraveDigger, you MUST have known that making a post like that would only lead to it being scrutinized.

When round 2 came along, Scorpion was already loaded into memory, there would be no reason for anything, like his pallet, to change. Had you said the next match it happened, that might have made it more believable.

I really don't believe what you said happened. I have heard that someone actually hacked a Genesis MK1 cart and made Ermac, this was so long ago and I believed it for a little while too. This however, could EASILY been a bad case of "The Telephone Game"

wow some of you guys seem to be really unfair to gravedigger-- you guys dont even have proof that it isnt there and you are attacking him because of what he says he believes he saw. It would be a different story if you could come up with concrete proof that there is no red ninja error but you guys cant so there really is no need for the attack. Besides he says he really doesnt care if you guys believe him or not so its really the attackers problem and not gravedigger about his statement so stop taking it out on him.

No, it's that if the Ermac glitch was indeed out there, there would be no reason whatsoever why the names "Scorpion" and "Error" would be mixed together in the lifebar. That's just total bullshit

Quirk, I'm not trying to get on your case or anything, but I gotta give you some help on the pallet thing, they wouldn't look like that, I'll show you in a few minutes.

This is just a quick thing I put together to show you that if Ermac were a pallet glitch of Scorpion, he would have bits of yellowish fleshtones in his costume, and, bits of red in his skin like Reptile has green. This is why the picture is so important, but I don't know if it's clear enough to see the pixels. Subzero doesn't have yellow pixles in his stance, except for the shine/brightness effect towards his back, because his stance is entirely an entirely different set of frames, with none reused, however he does have bits of blue in his skin, so his pallet might be slightly different than Scorpion's. His other frames however do have the skin tone pixels scattered throughout in the same places they would be in Scorpion's, only undetectable because they match his garb. Reptile was obviously a rush job hidden character, since his color variances are exactly the same as Scoprion's, and as it seems, Mortal Kombat is a bunch of rush job games lol. But this means that the pallet designated for everyone was a set of yellow hues. Not loading any pallet would probably make him invisible.

Don't worry too much about my involvement Hyuga. I actually mentioned to Matt that I was asking you questions about it to draw it out since it was obvious you didn't know what you were talking about when you were talking about hacking roms.
