Alright, I don't post very much on here, but after seeing those videos, I can't resist --

Day after day, I see people coming on here praising you Ray and hanging off your genitals like you are the greatest thing to ever happen to MK. Likewise, day after day, you go along with all of this - you've basically talked yourself into a hole where everyone expects you to show them something revolutionary. I've watched these videos now, and I don't know about everyone else, but I feel that if this is the best you have to offer, then you've successfully made yourself look silly.

Now let me stop and say that I'm not trying to start a flame war, and I'm not trying to insult you in any type of personal way - I don't know you, I've never met you, I probably never will. But if these vids are even semi-accurate in representing your "skills", not only do I think that I can mop the floor with you, but I think that about 50% of the people that post on here could.

I pride myself in being good at the MK series - I've won every tournament I've ever competed in, from 1 to 4, and I have had the pleasure of playing Eddie Ferrier and Jason Wilson in casual play in passing (and I'm sure you're familiar with both of those names). I'm telling you now that BASED ON THESE VIDEOS I'm sure I could beat you - this is not a boast, this is not a flame, this is a fact. And I don't need to go to Chicago to prove this, I'm content knowing it, as I'm sure these other gentlemen (or ladies) are. So there's no need to call anyone out, especially when a lot of us can't just fork out the cash to travel when needed.

My point is this, and everyone take note: the best things regarding MKDA that have come out of this site so far are Konqrr's videos (where did they go?) - the TiT footage as a whole isn't even that impressive. All of this is truly sad - MKDA will never be accepted as a high level tournament game until people start joining together and showing the world that it CAN, like the other MK's before it. And the only way to do that is for everyone to strive to better themselves as players - don't wait for someone else to come in and try to SHOW you how it's done (and fail miserably), DO IT YOURSELF! Believe in yourselves as players, because you can be as good as you want to be - its up to everyone together to decide how good the best actually is.

And to everyone else that posted in the "I want to see Rayrokka's videos" thread, I hope you are satisfied - I know I am :)

Ray, your Drahmin was pretty cool toward the end.
I do think that the tit5 vids, and players are alot better than you guys. I hope the other matches are better than this.

How is TiT iron club all day better than me using all three styles in my combos and set ups with Drahmin.? I admit my sub zero is terrible lately. I had a feeling konqrr was going to use that Kenshi match but I don't know why. I still don't think you guys are getting why I'm doing this... we'll just have to wait for more vids, there's probably a hundred more.

We can talk Drahmin all day, obviously. Just keep watchin... anyway I'm encouraging you guys to post your videos. The problem is getting decent competition. I have nobody to play against, except the guys in thos evideos. I'm organizing something locally so that I can get more practice. You guys should make your own videos. this is all natural play. Nothing is set up to happen. I wish you guys were seeing what I see.

No man, you are delusional. If you truly believe that, you need to seek some help - your Drahmin was terrible compared to MKL's, and I don't think anyone will argue that point. And your Kenshi? Ummmm....no dude. It's horrible. Look, if you're going to talk the talk, you need to back it up, and these vids really aren't cutting it - if you're better on a PS2, then I would suggest getting Konqrr to take these videos down before you further humiliate yourself, and put some better ones up. I want to see it happen. I want to see all the amazing MK players that are better than me. The whole point of me doing this is to get more peoplr involved in the game. Because deadly alliance is lacking on the competetive level. there is nobody to play against. I had fun making these videos, it was an excuse to play again...
After playing in those tornaments I forgot how much fun the game is when there are willing opponents. I really am sick of playing the AI and it's nice to have a live opponent once in a while.

Any way I will answer MKL comment . Yes beating people in the head is optimal, that's how I won the second round. I just like playing with the flies because it reminds me of Dhalsim from SFTurbo. You know flies, random leg, also it's fun making your opponent hop around and bounce the whole round.
I'd also like to get Konqrr's opinion, he's seen everything.

Going from a wonderful PS2 controller to a POS X-Box/Sega controller (even S) is a very difficult thing indeed, I've tried it and I can tell you from experience that my MKDA game went to shit real fast.

As for the quality of Ray's play in the first 3 vids are just that...the first 3 vids on the first tape with an uncomfortable controller. I'm going to be putting up some new vids now, and I can only tell you all that it's going to get better from here on out.

Ray and I are doing a great thing here...sharing gameplay footage for you all to scrutinize. This is the only MK website that even remotely cares about talking strategy and sharing real gameplay ideas...I've been to several. You should all be grateful and stop complaining...or all the videos can stop.

Just be patient...each of these videos takes at least two hours to make. He just got these videos Saturday and he's already got three up! That, is dedicated to the cause.

Thanks for the vids guys, waiting to see more. Maybe not really good gameplay, but yeah controllers do matter. I liked the way U trained him to block low (first Kenshi vid, first round) and then when U got the opening went for his @ss Lots of BDCs going on, nice, I should do that a lot more. Too bad your friend only plays scorp. I am still waiting for a cyrax vs cyrax vid though Konqrr, Ray, keep m comming and thanks for the effort.

What to expect:

A solid Jax, there are some mistimed combos...but the damage happens at the start of the combo. Jax really puts the hurt on.

Reptile...easiest 40% combo I've ever seen, and easy to set up too. I see why you like to block high and eat a few low attacks now Ray, after watching how Reptile can kill you this way so easily.

Cage...I put this up for the sole reason of how great Jeet Kune Do d+1 setups are. You can attack so quickly after this move that it looks like a chain...kind of like Scorp's Hap 2,2,4

More Drahmin and an excellent Scorpion game played by Ray. I love the taunt at the end of the 3rd round to make sure you get a flawless victory LMAO!!

Just my observation, but when I play Drahmin I hardly ever end a combo with the Propeller Clock because of the bad recovery time that gives you no room to play "setup". I always end with a quick move so I can get them as they get up for more hurt.

Plus, will you ever land Sub-Zero 1,2,b+2, cs,d+2, Ice Shaker, sm, 1,2,cs?! It's driving me crazy, you do the shaker too soon and whiff the rest of the combo...you attempt this combo like 7 or 8 times and miss it this way every time

Aha! Let me see that Scorpion game! Watched those new vids, a decent scorp would have killed that JC, but reptile and jax were cool. (the jax taunt in front of scorp, ray man, its not necessary to humiliate your friend like that

Ray, so far I've only watched the Scorpion vs Jax match and I thought you were pretty good. I have to admit that I also need to warm up a few matches before I start hurting people up. I haven't seen any Reptile matches yet, and I haven't seen any of your Drahmin footage so I still need to look at that.

Does your friend Trocki however get better with Scorpion because we all know how practically invulnerable that character is. Keep the Vids coming cause we the MK community are hungry for more.

yeah,I've been doing that 33% sub combo forever but i just never seem to do it. you can end Drahmin combos however you feel like ending them, he can hit you from anywhere on the screen. Corylee, Scorpion is a difficulty 1 character, that means novice. Sonya is novice also. I think Sub Zero is the best test of skill in the game.

Yes, Ray and I had some kick ass matches, you'll see when Konqrr is ready. Some of you need to remember that this is taped footage of us playing the game, so obviously there are going to be mistakes!

Scorpio, you need to eat a big fat one! Why bitch that someone won't drive 3 states away just to make you happy? Even if Ray traveled on his own time (months before his next game release) he would beat your ass, then you'd feel like a moron.

Watching this (or any) game is very different from playing it.

and yeah, Konqrr is right about the controller. going from the one you are used to to another one majorly screwes up your game. i have personal experience in that, i play on XBox at home and then i got together with a bunch of guys to play some MKDA and they had the PS2 version and that really screwed me up. you do get used to it but it takes time.
i loved those vids, can't wait for more.
and i can't believe we have a bunch of ingates here, come on guys, appreciate what Ray and Konqrr are doing for MK and for all of us. they don't get paid for doing those vids you know, they do it for the love of MK.
