1-Agreed. Ray's reptile was tight.

2-In a heated match, I believe it can be easy to miss opportunities. Having said that it appeared to me on some vids that the missed opportunities were a little TOO frequent, especially by Trocki and to a lesser extent Ray. Some higher damage combo continuations were curiously absent: ex. Trocki launches with U+4, does a punch and a kick and the combo ends there. Huh? Why not U+4~Spear~canned-combo-string stopping on Ninja Sword '3'~let opponent fall some~hellfire then start high/low mix-up?

3-In 'high-level' play it's sometimes better to leave off the last one or two moves of a combo in order to keep the opponent close and start oki or high/low and continue the assault. You can't fault someone for this decision.

Konqrr I think devilgene has a pretty good point... Plus no sound will make the file size a LOT smaller.

i think that being aggressive and keepeing pressure on your opponent is best. As long as you don't whiff and your mix ups keep hitting. Haasjin, please post an unedited video of your flawless excellent game play against a mighty opponent. please oh great and mighty haasjin(i've never heard of you). please enlighten me on perfecting my game.
konqrr is hosting my vids, i gave him two tapes of unedited footage. I have no control over what is being posted. I think konqrr is doing an excellent job, and he is picking according to his best judgement. I think part of his selection process comes from, Ray almost lost that round, but he did this this and this to win. Konqrr, perhaps an explanation of why you chose certain fights? Since you are hosting , by all means please lead off... there is also personal play style, I am playing very loose on an xbox controller against Trocki. I'm not trying to destroy him, I'm trying to teach him how to play. Trocki is a Tekken player. more after Konqrr posts more stuff. I hope mor people post vids no cpu vids unless they are for showing combos... I want to see more in game, live opponent stuff. MKL you said you have a group of six you play with....make some videos. I still have footage I haven't given to Konqrr yet.

Konqrr is there a particular match format that is best for what you are doing? Is best of three 60 seconds better?

I actually prefer to play that way.

I had a dream last night that I met Konqrr, he was a short five year old black kid with a fro. I know that it's not true but I just thought it was funny.

All I have to say is don't post vids if you don't want any criticism in terms of your gameplay. I mean, jesus...sure can't take any criticism now can you. You're definitely not the best player I have seen and for the most part I am pretty sure you couldn't defeat my BRC game even with Scorpion. When you post vids and you don't live up to the hype you have given yourself well what do you expect.

In response to the user about completing combos. Yes, you are right. But it their case it was not so. They were messing up the combos and not just ending them early.

so who's the best? I want to see the best...
please show me the best.

haasjin, your BRC doesn't matter, you saying you are good with BRC is like saying candy is sweet.
BRC is one of the best characters in the game...
a suckling baby could play him competently.

NO CPU OPPONENTS! REAL GAMEPLAY!

from what everyone is saying completing combos doesn't matter anyway, I don't think so either.

I am encoding with Windows Media Encoder (WMV) and in order for it to work, the movies must have sound...sorry. I've finished the first tape and got three good matches so far from Mr and Ray.

#1 - Mavado vs Kenshi, I love the setup Ray uses with Mavado where he hits you low and recovers in time to mix up another low or string...plus I like MrSchpfmut's combo with Kenshi.

#2 - Kitana vs Shang Tsung, excellent offensive game with Kitana, Ray. I also like MrSchpfmut's Shang, he sure likes to run away though grin

#3 - Cage vs Cage, gotta love Cage. I think that you can actually block the last hit of the Jeet Kune Do mixup string they were using (they used it alot) by just blocking low whether it's 2,2,3,3,cs or 2,2,3,3,b+4...but I'm not sure. I liked this match alot...maybe it's because I don't get to see alot of Cage matches.

They will be up in about 1-2 hours. Tape two is next.

Talk shit somewhere else Blade Tsung...nobody cares.

Good job Konqrr

I think these more obscure matchups will be cool to watch.

I don't consider myself to be good with any of those characters by any means, but we shall see.

I noticed you do like cage alot!

nothin wrong with that...i like Cage too!

1...Whatever works best for you man!

2...I usually don't play as defensive, but I was playing rayrokka so I was a little aprehensive at times. He is very agressive when i play him and he doesn't block much. He's always attacking! Plus, when playing against someone (not the comp) and they begin to chase you, they start to get over agressive... That's when the chances of mistakes rise.

3...YAY!

you were playing right Mr.Schpfmut. We were playing without time, so I had to finish you...
I tend to get impatient, and you are right.

give yourself some space wait for me, no time =long match...sometimes.

people who play defensive and wait, usually do better against me.

you are right about this: I rarely block because I'm always attacking. When i do block it's so that I can attack again.

it's a vicious cycle...lol.

Uploading now...enjoy!

I've been practicing Cyrax and Sub-Zero more, maybe if I can find someone to play I can host my own footage again.

Cyrax = crap but fun.

Ninjitsu 1,1,b+1,cs, 1,1,b+2,f+2,cs = 33%
Ninjitsu 1,1,b+1,cs, 1,1,b+2,f+2,u+2 (wall) = 36%

Sub-Zero...his only game is Shotokan d+3~bdc man, that is his bread and butter game.

Nothing against you Rayrokka or anything but I just hate Scorpion vs Scorpion matches. I find them ridicously boring. Maybe it's because I can't stand the Hellfire Cheese. Or maybe because I just find Scorpion stale. So far out of all the videos that I've seen I like the Scorpion vs Reptile match the most. Your Reptile Rayrokka was definitely good. But do you play Reptile better on the PS2 because I thought you were still good considering you were using an X-Box Controller.
(X-Box users please don't hate on that comment)

As I asked before will we see any matches where you are using Sonya and I can't wait to see the Cage vs Cage matches. Keep reeling the vids in Konqrr, you are doing a great job for us the MK Community.

PEACE!!!!

Boy are we on the defensive. You need to sit down and chill out a bit.

Oh yeah, if a baby could play BRC completely doesn't say much for mkda now does it.

Anyway, back to your vids. Yes, offensive play can be good, definitely in this installment of the Mk franchise; But not necessary against actually skilled opponent. You are going to get owned quicker than you can blink if you played against a high-level gamer using your strats. Blocking definitely plays a crucial key in high-level gameplay. According to you and others who have played you, you tend to lack fundamental blocking skills. Oh yeah, if you were just supposedly "teaching" your bud to play the game, why did you own him a few of the matches. He must learned allot that way.

Regarding completing combos (AGAIN), the guy was addressing me. Just commenting about the mistakes because of wrong button presses and/or timing issues.

Rayrokka your Mavado was great, I don't think I've seen a better that's been shown on video. Mr Schpfmut your Kenshi looked like right at the beginning it was really gonna dominate but that was not to be. I also liked your Kenshi combo it was great. Need to watch the rest but this Rayrokka is without a doubt is the best video that I've seen posted so far.

My ISP caught on to my "over uploading"...so I can't go over 42-45MB at a time sad

Cage vs Cage will not be uploaded today.

I don't really know how KaZaA works, but I am going to put all of the movies in my Shared Folder and keep KaZaA running. So if you missed any movies so far, or really want Cage vs Cage search Title "MKDA_Match_Rayrokka-vs-MrSchpfmut_03.zip" or any of those keywords...and hope that it works.

Just got done viewing your new (I guess) vid against another opponent named "Mr. Schpfmut". It was a Kitana VS Shang match. Similar to your other matches, your blocking is lacking. You had trouble finishing combos and no real mix-up. Come on, Kitana does have it. Luck for you this time your opponent didn't have much on the way of a mix-up either and gameplay was so very linear (reminded me of a mk3 match). Which brings me back to my point all along that you are a "OK" mkda player. Thats about it, not too impressed especially considering how long (I can only imagine the number of hrs) you have put into this game.

Shang Tsung... Mix-up? HAHA! Yeah he may have a few low attacks, but come on, think about what you are saying before you talk shit man. You speak of techniques from the game that does not fool us all the time so there is no point in doing it. I'm done talking to you till you say something reasonable.

Konqrr, Kazaa is probobly a good idea. Then you can have more than a few matches available.

I noticed that i lost the shang kitana match...

that match up is truly in shangs favor.

he literally has more weapons than Kitana.

plus I rarely play Kitana, that's why random is so good. When you go random, anything can happen.

then it becomes match ups, Mr.Scpfmut piloted Shang competently, props.

Kitana is tier three or four...Shang is tier one.

living proof that the tier list works.

Im sorry if the truth hurts, but your not that good. You could have beaten the guy playing Shang, but you played Kitana as if you never had used her before.

So instead of defending your gameplay you resort to flames. Not surprised.
