1. I'm unsure on the grammer here, but if you're saying what I think you are... Why the hell not? All day sunday before we played, you said "I'm only playing top tier today" seriously like 3 or 4 times to me. That says to me you are going to be playing seriously.

2. Great, I will act no differently towards you in person than I did this past weekend. You can play who you want, thats fine. I take playing against Scorpion as a huge challange because he should destroy everyone. You play him just like Ray! Well, besides you repeatedly shoving me near the wall 20 times then not even mixing me up.

Oh and I hope you didn't forget I was one (1) sweep away from defeating your Scorpion with my Kitana. I choked and you got me, but damn you underestimate me WAY TO MUCH!

3. So do I! Nec was an awesome tournament for what it was. Don't get me wrong, but it was a little whacked.

You got a buy in the first round. Then you played Robbie who's played all of about 3 times in the past 7 months (which is why he mostly played Sonya). And then JOP beat me and Ray in our first round. I hate to bitch but this gave you a 2 round advantage over us right off the bat.

These are the only reasons I think that you shouldn't be considered the best DA player.

At the time, I was actually more concerned about losing to JOP than to you after playing you guys.

4. see reply #1 again above... We played a LOT of matches, and I apologize for not remembering every single match we played, but did you even beat my rep with scorp? We're gonna disagree if I even try to guess any number of victories or losses so I won't bother.

5. I understand and agree with the beginning comment. As far as the tourney results, you did win. I feel you had somewhat of an unfair advantage, but that's how the cards fell and I can accept that. You won this tournament. You beat my ass Saturday. Sunday was my day. No we didn't have a tournament, but we played hours longer than Sat.

All in all, i think we are a good even match and this is not over.

i said i didnt want to play u kitana vs kitana!!!! i hardly picked top tier characters at all when i was there. all i know is that with the exception of the 3 wins on my scorp u lost like every match that i had a top character. and lets not forget what my raiden did to u. this week when we play i wont do any random select. i'll play only top 5 characters, mainly brc and scorp and u will see y i am the best. now as for me shoving u with scorp, dude....like i said, i didnt even take those losses serious untill i got the 3rd loss. no matter, this week i'm only playin the characters i'm best with.

I witnessed Bill play on day 1 and I did not see him lose more than 2 or 3 matches the whole day. Then I went unbeaten, not even losing a single match the whole time accept for Bill beating me in the tournament. and sorry to say brother, if Bill played you or Ray in the tournament, he would have won regardless. :(

ok first of all jay, u did nothing to show that u were right up there with me. i rarely even chose my character. i mostly went random. and i did not even play top tier characters all that much and with the exception of me occasionally picking 1 if i got them it was cuz i got them on random. let me recap what happend. day 1 i lose 3 MAYBE 4 times but win the rest and then i win the tourney. then on day 2 i lose 3 times scorp vs reptile, lose and win a match with brc, we went about even reptile vs reptile but i may have been down 1 or 2, then u win sub vs sub, li vs li, kitana vs kitana. i win bo vs bo, kenshi vs kenshi, lao va lao. then i play all raiden and u played mokap, blaze, and 1 other character. i win 6 u win 1 then i win 7 more then robbie plays. and that was day 2. once i found out that there was no tourney that day i really didnt take it AS serious as day 1. and lets not forget that u got raped by my raiden. overall i was up WAY more on u. and lets rememer that vs u beides a few matches i either went random or aksed u what u wanted to play(mirror matches, etc..) I RARELY EVEN PICKED MY CHARACTER EXCEPT FOR A FEW GAMES INCLUDING THE RAIDEN MATCHES. jay, if i had actually pick my best characters then u dont wanna know how bad it would have been but its ok cuz i can show u this when we play this week. i got no problems with u as a person, u're a cool dude to chill with but u need to see whats up with DA freak. As far as me vs Bill.......we rarely play that game together. I have no reason to play it. We just trained for a few hours a couple days before the tournament and that was it. When we played, he banged me up pretty good. He just knows more about the game than i do. Besides being fucking great at the game, he knows when to do what and how to beat all the stupid gimmicks that seem unbeatable, which in my opinion, is what being good at MKDA is all about.
About me going to Chicago.....unfornately i cant make it. But have fun and all that good shit.

Bill, I'm not gonna argue with you on this anymore. Fact is, you won the tourney. But after playing you a few times I've seen the way you fight. You have to admit I fared MUCH better against you Sunday. All I needed was a little experience against you and I adjusted very well IMO. I mean come on, saturday I couldn't even touch your Bo with reptile. Sunday, we were around 50/50 in that match up as you said. (sorry I have trouble remembering match count)

Playing against you and JOP was a good learning experience for me, and I was able to get the hang of some of your tactics & tricks. You may think I still don't stand a chance against you, but I see things differently.

I played JOP first round and played him Drahmin vs Drahmin. I knew he was going to beat me because I was still having a problem trying to figure out his setup.

JOP, just so you know when we were playing practice games I played very loose and I was intentionaly losing in hopes of figuring out your set up. I also wanted to make you over confident so you would attack low more. I think you know that. I have nothing but respect for your Drahmin and as the creator of that beast I am honored that I was beatin by my character. That is all one can ever hope for. Drahmin was my first foray into game design folks.
Drahmin was literally the worst character until I wrote out the proposal for the ground pound and power up and why I thought it would be good. Ed liked my ideas and immediately put them in. I'm positive that with more practice I can beat your Drahmin.

Jay, I'm proud of you. Although we should have played best of seven I am glad that the student beat the teacher. I was actually really happy when you beat me. That is all a teacher can ask of his student.

Robbie, your Sonya got alot better really quick. Two tid bits of advice.

I watched Jay beat you six of seven with Reptile and you only picked Bo and Scorpion...favorable matchups for you. You were playing tight because you kept telling Jay to pick Reptile. As the best MKDA player you should know that everyone that plays you is out to beat you. If you underestimated Jay that is your fault. I taught him how to play and he was ready for your Bo and Your Scorp because you play those characters almost exactly the same way I do. You dominated him most of the weekend but I watched him beat you six of seven with his Rep and you guys were even on mirror matches on Sunday. Jay came there to beat YOU side games or tourney thats all he wanted to prove.

Bill was up on matches against me. But if I'm not mistaken I beat you many times. I was actually really surprised how easily I beat you most of the time. I was seriously not even trying. You fell for almost all my tricks, I was really surprised by that.

You ate my Kung Lao set up, and I impaled you for wins on several occasions. I wish I had the time to play more cuz I really feel that I could beat you more consistently. The random matches were definitely in your favor, but I still beat you with bad match ups. You were up though, I admit that. But not by much.

When I watched Jay beat you...I was like.

"I don't even need to play this guy...Jay is beating him"

It's nothing to be ashamed of Bill. Jay's Rep is very good. He knocked me out of the tourney and I taught him everything he knows. He is not a scrub and BOO on you for underestimating him. Because he came there for one reason and one reason only. To beat you with his Reptile and he did that.

The matchups were in your favor and you lost. Admit it. You were playing tight because I watched your body language...body language doesn't lie.

The only thing that stopped us was JOP.

MAD PROPS TO JOP...I am truly honored that you picked my character as your main and played with him so precisely. I admire the fact that you choose one character and get good with him. That may be one of my downfalls is that I play too many characters.

Other than that I went to NEC to watch Justin Wong win MvC2. That shit was off the hook!

I was also doing fighting game research and trying to pinpoint why MK is not taken seriously. I think I have a good understanding of that.

While you were in Jersey...we were in the trenches battling it out on MK soil. Chicago is the MK mecca of the world and the best players are from Chicago or live here.

Before anyone gets any bright ideas...

We play random in Chicago.

If you think random is casual you are very wrong.

Random select means...even if I get the worst character in the game, I will still beat you.

Random is just more fun too, you get really strange matchups sometimes.

ALso if you start playing random from the very beginning you will learn characters and match ups a million times faster. You learn the strengths and weaknesses of every charcter...there are no mysteries.

Random select just makes you really good, really fast.

It was soo damn funny to see Ray and Bill doing random matches. For at least like the frist 10 matches, Ray got the exact worst matched character against Bill's and still won a good number of them.

I apprecieat the nice comments Ray! Though I've found my own nuances that I like using in the game, you did teach me a shit load about DA! (as well as some outlooks on life in other conversations)
