I liked both for different reasons. I liked Trilogy because of the massive content... every mk character up until that date was in the game and playable. I liked mk4 because it was the first step into the realm of 3d and it was decent. Overall I'd have to say I enjoyed trilogy more tho.

I did'nt like mk4 it was way to easy.trilogy gets my vote.

I had more fun with trilogy. It had almost every fatality, it had more characters, it had a bunch of cheats, and it was harder, which made it more fun to play.

i like trilogy better, more characters, more arenas, more fatalities, just plain more

Trilogy by a long way. It has everything from the older games. I still play it alot.

Storyline for MK4 sucked, gameplay was not as good. 3D ruined it for the life members of MK

I preferred MK4 better, as it was just plain fun. Playing at speed, and it was a good step into 3D.

Trilogy was nice and all, but I think it took things a little too far, well, I mean they did in MK3, animalities etc.

But Trilogy I could play for about 15mins - half an hour. MK4, I could really get stuck into.

I don't know why.

never played mk4 so id have to say mkt

it's hard to say for me.

mk trilogy had so many characters. but with all those characters came stupid ideas.

mk4 was cooler fatality wise. but they should have worked a little harder so it wouldn't be so choppy.

but both games were totally rad.

MK4 sucked in my opinion. Everybody had the same two kombos and the rest were those plus juggling. Also, what happened to all the kool kodes like fast uppercut recovery? Also, they should have put the MKM Sub-Zero in MK4. MK4 to me was just lacking in every department.

MK4 is probably better. MKT has more characters but MK4 has much better graphics.

Well MK Trilogy was a hell of a lot harder then MK 4, hell I can only beat it with Noob Saibot becuase of his cheap cloud move.
There are more characters in MK Trilogy then in MK 4.
The fatalities overall suck in Trilogy I mean all of them end up with 8 to 10 skulls on the ground after.
Trilogy is a real 2D game while MK 4 is a 2D game in a 3D body.

Well both games have their strong and weak points. MKT had more characters and other gameplay content. However, MK4 was a first step in a 3-D MK game with evolved gameplay with the weapon system and such. And I also found MK4 to have better music and a darker feel to it just like in the first 2 MKs (especially MK2). I wished that MK4 would have had more gameplay content because that was the main downfall I found in it. However, MK4 was more challenging and I really liked how they tried to capture the essence of MK1 and MK2 so I'm probably going to have to go with MK4.

Mk Trilogy is better, but I also love Mk4.

the mkm sub-zero is dead.

i love mkt but if i had to pick, id pick mk4 (or gold). mk4 is just more fun to play. better basic moves, interactive envirements, weapons, etc. mk4 was more skill based than mkt.
