Sub-Zero is an overestimated iconic cliche now IMO. My fav characters are that aren't ruined by completely unoriginal design.

I really liked his story in MKDA, and in MKD he improved so much. I think he has changed for the best.

An overrated iconic cliche would be Scorpion. He did change in MKD (storywise), but it was so lame/predictable I dont think it counts. But thats not the point of this thread.

I thought Sub-Zero changed for the better as well. Better costume IMO, better story line than just being the brother out for revenge for his dead brother. I think they could've given smoke a better story in MKD, IMO, I think they just added him and Noob together because everyone was demanding them to return =/

My fav character though, that's a hard one..It's between Kung Lao or Sub-Zero.

Sub-Zero's MKDA secondary: horrible. No sane man would go an fight in that clown cosyume. Latex, unbalanced and tight shit of a costume, his MKD although a shameless association on Shredder, looks more credible except for the shoulderpads.

Scorpion MK4 and MKD secondary: fuckin' horrible, full latex fake material feel to the whole thing, I just can't buy him as serious. His primary owns though, even if the golden plating should be almost of no use (if gold).

Yes they destroyed Scorpions and Sub-Zeros look. They tried to make them unique but they should keep the ninja look. Sub-Zero looks more like a samurai and Scorpion more than a knight. The story became more and more boring.

Come on where is the old anti-hero Scorpion. Now he is just a slave to the elder gods. Same for Sub-Zero. Now he is a good guy who tries to defend everyone. We are talning about the Lin Kuee and not Greenpeace.

Scorpion is far from a knight, and Sub-Zero doesn't even look remotely close to a samurai, but much like a nobility from China. (the Shredder helmet is actually far from japanese armorsmithing, for they used bent walls and closed visors in forms of masks.

sub zero is amazing but i have to say that scorpion is flaming good(pun not intended)sub zero could freeze people but that move only stuns scorpions spear move hurts and stuns so rock on scorpion

Sub-Zero is one of my favorite characters in Mortal Kombat because he has this aura about him. It's cold and it's mysterious. Plus who does not like a ninja that can shoot ice from his hands and rip people's heads off? I find that Sub-Zero is an icon to Mortal Kombat because most people know who he is, even if they have not played Mortal Kombat. Same goes for characters like Raiden, Scorpion, Goro, and even Johnny Cage.

As of latley the costumes have recieved alot of attention, the fighters have alot of trinkets on their costumes but they all look so unique and different from each other. Sub-Zero's costume actually has purpose to his story, so I cannot complain. The only thing that I dislike about Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat Deception was that he did not have his scar. I always saw that as a way to identify Sub-Zero as the younger brother. Hate it or love it, Sub-Zero is a character that will stay in Mortal Kombat untill the franchise dies out. And I could not be happier with that decision.

Sub Zero is my favortie characrter..I love his moves and i love how you can stick his sword in people in MKD.

in the next game sub-zero and scorpion need their old ninja outfits back cuz dat will make the game better! and as for the rest of the characters they should to(apart from raiden i didnt lyk his MK1 costume the 1 in MK trilogy looks a whole lot better) \m/:D
