If it was, it was a very bad one. The charcters are just so glitchy, blocky, in MKT. I hope that one day, they do make an arcade port of all of the the MKs (the 2Ds, only), and put them on one disk. That would be a dream come true.

The engine for the game is essentially identical to UMK3 in the arcade thats why pretty much anything that works on one works on the other so long as the characters are in both.
As far as the graphics its also pretty much an arcade translation quality-wise because if you look at the graphics at the same size side by side for UMK3 and MKT the quality is pretty much identical. Of course thats hard to tell unless they are on the same type of screen becuase the arcade resolution and normal Television resolution are different.
I thought it was very unfortunate that they broke MKT for N64, allowing for so many easy, infinite or close to infinite combos that were not possible to do in the arcade or on MKT for PSX.

It was far from arcade quality bud... go play mame umk3 and compare to mkt on any system. MKT looks like complete shit in comparison.

Nicodemus, I'd have to disagree. I've played the PSX version of MKT on the comp and have UMK3 for Mame. They are pretty much the same.
Standard television resolution is 352x244 and a lot of TVs can't do much better then that. The arcade game ran higher resolution then that on higher resolution arcade monitors. I think thats why they appear more different then they actually are.

MKT has crappier looking characters then UMK3 on the sega saturn. The arcade version of UMK3 and MK3 graphics are far superior then MKT on any platforum gg.

The character models are less detailed and also i've noticed they are slightly smaller. MKT is also slightly faster then UMK3. If you've played all the versions of the game you notice these things.
