ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the good old times.
Yep. All
I was the first in my area to figure out Subby's spine rip.
"FINISH HIM" only signified "uppercut time" back then, and only the pit level seemed to excite people, until I figured ot the spine rip. Kinda freaked some people out at the arcades when they saw that the first time.

MK1- I was hooked from then on (I still remember how cool it was to find Reptile just to get your ass kicked by him!! He was fast!!)
MK2- Even better than the first and my personal favorite from the entire series!!
MK3- I wasn't impressed played moderately
MK4- I really wasn't impressed with this but played a few times
Damn I spent too much money in the arcades!!

I played MK1 at a laundry mat about 15 minutes from my house, it was the only reason I ever went with my mother, but I actually didn't like MK1 at all. I thought it was a terrible game even for the time.
MKII I played mostly in Casino game rooms in Atlantic City NJ, misc boardwalks, parkway rest stops in NJ, I still wasn't getting around on my own yet because I was only 12, so I had to depend on my family to really get to arcades and overall I wasn't interested enough to bug them.
MK3 I played a lot in Atlantic City, misc boardwalks, movie theatres, but most of all, West Coast Video which was across the street from my house. I was there after school almost every day.
UMK3 again at West Coast, all the time, and I probably did as much traveling as I could to play it, same locations as the other games, but I was gradually finding more and more places to play people. At this point I needed to play people as much as possible so I took advantage of every chance.
MK4 I really never played that much except at a couple different malls. It didn't capture my interest at all so I didn't travel to play it.
I was very disappointed to hear that MKT would never see an arcade release.

From 1 to 4.
Though I remember being most excited when 2 came out and when Ultimate came out.
I played all of them at malls near (or a little far from) my house, here in São Paulo, Brazil.
Every mall had the MK and Street Fighter machines (and I was always playing both games at that time)
I played MK1 the very first week it got to the mall, I hear about the hype at school: "oh, there ́s a new game where you can toast your opponent, grab his heart, and stuff like that, it ́s called Mortal Kombat..." my interest was huge when I heard that.
Next thing I know I was at the mall playing it the next weekend. I was 9 at that time.
When 2 came out I was even more impressed, it was faster and harder to beat. I played the hell out of it when it was out on Genesis though.
I was very very excited when 3 came out, played it a lot on the arcade machines, mostly with Cyrax and Sub-Zero, and I always got my ass beaten by Sonya ate some point.
An then, 1995, I was walking in this different mall and I saw an MK3 machine with a Reptile (?) profile on it and I was like WTF?
I stopped and stared... it was called Ultimate MK3... next second I look and see Scorpion, I was like, thank god they put Scorpion in! Though I was still pissed that Rayden wasn ́t in it! I was with my parents and I had to go, I was very pissed cause I had no time to play that game.
But on the next weekend I wasted a lot of coins in it! And UMK3 was the arcade game that I played more in terms of MKs! And then I was very excited when Trilogy came out to PS, cause it had the missing chars! LOL
I only got to play MK4 like 2 or 3 times, it never got me really interested, I was kinda disappoint that they ́ve gone 3D and I didn ́t like the movement and some of the new characters like Reiko, Kai and Jarek (thought they were stupid, although in their MKA outfit they look interesting).
And it saddens me that no arcade MK was ever made again, cause DA got my interest back and made me a die-hard fan again! Too band I can ́t go to the mall to play with random people on an arcade machine anymore, only the old ones.

MK4, which was the first MK game I ever played. I was seven that time. I remember choosing Sonya and selecting Master 2 tower by mistake (I was confused that time). After a couple of rounds, I remember running out of change as the continue screen appeared. I was pretty freaked out when I saw Sonya being impaled on spikes with the Game Over message over the screen.
I recently played MK4 on the arcades over the summer as well. EDIT: Did I forget to mention I played UMK3 on the arcade today on Sept. 30?

None. I grew up with SNES MK3.
I actually only played my first Arcade MK game (MK2) last year in West Edmonton Mall.
Only then did I realize how much the SNES version of the game really fucking sucks.

All. Most I played was MK2. I would break 5's and 10 dollar bills almost every day at the closest laundromat near my old appt. then I'd go to the deli a couple blocks away that had the arcade and was almost always never crowded so I could play as long as I wanted. Good Times
I played MK3 alot too, at the time I had a broken wrist so I had to wear a cast on my whole left forearm, but I still beat most players lol.

I played all!!!
mk1, mk2, MK3, UMK3, MK4
Ive also played the version 4.0 of MK2 where johnny cage always has a red shadow kick, Kintaro is like the 3rd or second guy you fight, Noob saibot is on the battle plan, along with smoke.
I had fun beating everyone on that one, I remeber one guy got real mad at his little brother who was trying to give him advice "push back back, low punch" while he was fighting me, and I was kicking his @ss. and he went off on his little brother "shut the fvck up or Ill knock your block the fvck off!". It was hilarious.
I also had the priveledge to be the one who unlocked Mileena in the UMK3 at my local mall. I remember entering in the UltimateKombatKode and it started flashing through all the stages with a jackhammer sound effect. ANd the arcade manager just happened to walk by when I did this, and he stopped in his tracks and staired, It was like he thought I broke his arcade game or something, lol.

MK2 and MK3
I enjoyed playing both. MK2 is what really got me into the game cause it was so fun and i loved the character selection. In MK3 i loved the new fighting style. It didn't really work for me when i first played but it became a favorite because it felt so awkward at first. Plus Sindel made her debut on Mk3 :)

Played them all. I would kick ass everywhere I went (I'm in Utah, so go figure...but there are some good players here) and I traveled a lot for competition in not just MK, but Tekken as well. Mostly Tekken 3/Tag.
MK1 - I was playing Street Fighter II with some friends and I saw the door open and they were bringing in MK1. Unfortunately I didn't have time to see it turned on, but once I did get to play it I was hooked. My only true challenge found in this game was my High School friend Marvin Malohi and his brother, I forget his name.
MKII - Saw it for the first time at the mall. Huge crowd...75cents per game. My friend Marvin was playing and he let me have a round with Reptile (who only had the acid spit and I think forceball in Revision 1.1 (which I didn't know about) and I almost lost! Shortly after that a new arcade called Nickelcade opened and they had about 6 MKII machines side by side. It was bliss! I made quite a few dollars from internet movelists and selling fatalities to people lol...I remember quite vividly, all of the places I played this game, day in and day out...the Baraka corner blade fury infinite (it had no pushout in Revision 1.1 -- why isn't this emulated yet?!?!) and the various Revision 1.4 upgrades with new moves and a few fatalities, some only working on certain sides. What I remember most about 1.4 was the inclusion of the Danger "ding" sound. Then all of the various Revision 2.1 glitches like babality killings and multiple babalities. The Kitana corner fan swipe no pushout, the Scorpion air leg takedown infinite. Great fun. Then came Revision 3.1 and "Throwing Disabled" lame...still my most fond MK memories are from MKII. But I moved on to...
MK3 - Wow...I read about it on the net and got a few fatalities from "Chicago" testers...first time I played I was Kano and did his Animality only to find out that the guys there already knew about it and others that I didn't. MK is HUGE. Around this time, I met some gaming buddies Parker and Tony (no, not a pun on the Spurs lol) They really kept the game going at the Nickelcade, we owned the place up all day every day. It took quite awhile to get the dial-a-combos down for Jax and Kung Lao, 7 damn hits lol. Jax was my favorite as he was my main from MKII. They toned him down much in UMK3 by taking his safety missles away :(
UMK3 - What can I say. The level of competition when this game came out was unreal to say the least. I was no longer owning. Barely holding my own in my own arcade! I should not have gotten into other games lol...there were guys who had been to other states playing and brought back with them Nightwolf tactics that I've never seen before! To this day I still can't beat his ass...people who know me, know I hate Nightwolf with a passion. I remember picking Jax against the guys NW and he just scoffed at me and owned me badly. If I only knew how to play Kabal like I do now...
MK4 - I was interested, but not taken away like I was with previous MK games. It was fun due to the numerous new characters and I still liked showing off fatalities to people who had not seen them yet. Then I found a place (couple of them actually) that had some actual competition. After months of owning them, and my last winning streak of 83...they simply stopped playing. Not just me, but the game entirely. At the time, I felt that I was the reason that nobody played MK anymore lol...I realize that this is not true, but that MK4 sucked and killed MK in the arcades forever.
I know that being the king of your hometown means jack shit. But it sure felt good to be the best, even if it was only in Utah. I'm sure there were/are guys here that can beat me, but I never found them. Oh well, just thought I'd share that.
Oh, and btw...I never, to this day, have played anyone but my brother a few times in MKDA.

I was taking out the "older guys" all over NJ in UMK3 when I was 14 =)

ALL of them as well
MK1: I was 10 when the game came out so I was not the best. I remember however that I kicked the ass of someone a few times who was like 20 and he was really mad at me because I was grabbing him lol
MK2: I knew a girl who was really good at this game at my local arcade, she was using Mileena and Liu Kang and she was able to beat a lot of those so called good players who would always pick Kitana or Scorpion
MK3: It was the most anticipated MK game, the arcade was jam packed like crazy when it came out. I didn't have any moves list. I remember that I picked Kano and tried to do his cannonball move like in MK1 and my opponent said to me that his moves were not the same anymore lol
UMK3: I was the first one at my local arcade to discover how to unlock human Smoke(I got the trick from a magazine) everybody was going crazy and were trying to search for Noob Saibot and Rain after lol
MK4: Almost nobody was playing this game sadly except me and my brother and a few other guys once in a while lol. Tekken Tag tournament became the attraction at this moment but it was still never as big as MK1-2-3. The death of the arcades began after the release of MK4...
