ultimate MK3

2D- Would have to be MK Trilogy. I shat myself when I found out you could play as the bosses.

3D- Mortal Kombat: Deception. The Storyline, the gameplay, the extra modes and the introduction of a new type of fatalities (Hara Kiri's) just did it for me. But I loved playing Deadly Alliance also.

2D: MK2. More advanced than MK1 and not as weird as MK3.

3D: Deception. It's just purely great.

UMK3. Simply put, the best 2D MK game I have ever played. The DS version is a little hard, but it makes for a great challenge.

As for Arcade machines, I am currently in the market for one. That is how much I love UMK3.

Yeah Trilogy and UMK3 were about the best ones I have ever played. But I just found out I have to wait to continue playing UMK3. I own a copy on the DS, and now the DS has died. How can that happen...well, I don't know. I had it overheat, then the touch screen started making it glitch. So I don't know.

Wait, does MKP 4.1 (Mortal Kombat Project 4.1) count? This is probably my 3rd favorite game at the moment.
