Why Baraka!?

Why did they kill off Baraka? He was the coolest i looked forward to seeing him in this game but nope they killed him off. I just wanted to know why. He is the best.

It suppoes Baraka died in MK gold. But, you know how this things are: Johnny Cage died, but Rayden revived him. In MK4, Reptile died too, but SURPRISE! HE IS IN MKDA!! So, don ́t worry, I like Baraka too, so I look forward to see him in the next MK too.

just because in a hidden video quan chi killed him doesnt mean he is really dead, so i suppose he will be back, maybe Ermac to(i always say that)

I don't understand why everyone likes Baraka so much, really. But anyhow.

I think Baraka's not in the game because somehow he's not really relevant to most storylines. He's somewhat lost in between. His only real connection always has been Mileena and she's been killed TWICE already (first revived by Kahn, then by Shinnok). Her ending and Kitana's in MKG were totally embarrassing to watch, by the way.

Baraka's ending on the other hand was way cool. Quan Chi has always made a better impression than ol' frustrated Shinnok ;).

not all the endings happened. they were more what if. In kitana's ending Mileena dies but in Mileena's ending kitana dies. We know tanya's didn't happen because liu gets killed by shang later on.
read raidens MK1 ending and did that happen?

We've been through this in other threads already. The MK endings are "what if?" scenarios if that character actually won in that game. Reptile didn't win in MK4, so he didn't die.

Damn, some of you are really anal! I was merely pointing out the fact that you see him killed in his ending from MK4. I never said it happened, did I? It's obvious from Reptile's konquest that he wasn't killed. I'm not that stupid! I know the endings are "what if" endings. Every mortal kombat has had "what if" endings.

BTW, there are other threads that have to do with the endings, this is about how frakin cool Baraka was, his swords outta his arms where kick ass.

Sounds to me like he said he definately died. Didn't mention anything about his ending or the liklihood of it happening.

Then why did you title your thread "WHY BARAKA!?" if your only pointing out that he died in his ending and isn't acctually gone from the mk universe. Seems more likely to me that you're trying to dig yourself out of the stupid hole. Now that's anal...

Baraka was an extrimely (is actually) good character. Very original IMO. The blades and mouth were awsome. His Impale Fatality always kicked ass. I think he might come back. Ive seen Baraka, Sektor, Smoke and others are very popular choices.

he is not dead...hes too popular...besides quan chis ending is not canon so baraka isnt officially dead....they just forgot to put him in so most people buy the video......but i dont.

Yeah this is my thread. And the reason why it is titled the way it is is because i thought that they had killed him off not because he was killed off. So lay of the dudes that are telling you that he is not dead.

Hmm ok Baraka looked quite scary in his vs pic in MK2 but otherwise it looks like he just has a fiendish grin or something :). That doesn't scare me!

I'll concede the blades are pretty cool but his t-shirt was a little daft.

By the way, it's easy to say Baraka kicked ass... he was overpowered in MKG, just like Scorpion is in MK:DA! :)
