Well I find him old on account of his haggard face. But I've heard from people that the dragon medalion speeds up his aging process somehow.

i think he looks old because the ice and whiteness surrounding his body brings out the oldness in him.

Back in mk3 he had barely no ice on him.

It's becasue of the medallion that he has. It makes him age faster.

So u guy's say it's because of his amulet. May I say we won't se him in the next MK games after Deception? We all know that he is a human, so he is not immortal... Could be that he'll be the #1 Mortal Kombat kombatant who died because natural reasons altough it is not netural how he is getting old!? Will a nothoer Lin Kuei member come into his place? We know, that Frost is dead in Deception. He and Scorpion a bit over rated. I belive Midway knows that too, BUT because Boon's fav. is Scorpion probably he will stay and Sub'll go. But who knows...

It is my understanding that the Dragon Medallion (not Amulet), the symbol of the Lin Kuei Grandmaster, exchanges youth for power. So, while Subby grows older with the medallion on, his Kori powers also grow in strength. It may also prove to extend his life. You've all heard of cryogenics, right? Maybe that's what's going on with Subby. Or he's becoming a being of pure ice, like Iceman has in the X-Men comics. Who knows the full extent of the Medallion's power?

Hmmm, I never thought of Sub-Zero eventually becoming an ice man. That would be awesome, but I think I'd miss the human-looking Sub after a while.

Well, it's already happening to him. Ever since MK3, Subby's body has been icing over as his Kori powers grow. He had a 'half-frozen' alt costume in MK4, and you can see how much of his body has frosted over in Deadly Alliance.

Sub-Zero had to sacrifice his youth in order to wield the power of the Dragon Medallion. The Dragon Medallion enhanced his fighting abilities, strength, and freezing powers. It also unlocked the Ice Shaker move that he used in MK: DA and hopefully, he'll have it in MKD.

I think after obtaining the Medallion's powers, Sub-Zero will become more powerful but his aging will slow down, just like Mr. Freeze from Batman.

I think its mainly the ice around his body and hair. Its also been a couple of years since mk 4. I think the dragon medallion sped up his aging a couple of years.

But that was probably at the beggining when he was first beggining to control the powers I think overall it will make him live longer. The shock to his body when he harnessed the powers were proably the cause but he will probably live longer overall.
well i think its also because it's the same sub-zero from MK2, thats pretty old.

I think it would be a most badass twist for MK:D if Subby from MK:DA was an imposter. Kinda like that one Tenchu game with Rikkimaru. I mean.. Subby's clan (Lin Kuei) isn't really known for being a bunch of great, kind, well-hearted dudes. It even says something about Subby changing the order/ways of his clan once he became leader.

Well, that's because the old Lin Kuei were dicks. They attempted to turn their own warriors into cyborgs, and hunted him down when he refused. It's not like he had much faith with the way things were working before. Once he took control of the clan, of course he would change things around. Wouldn't you?

I'd be willing to bet that the amulet story is just a cover up to how funny it is watching an old guy kick all kinds of ass.

I'll be hacked if they can Sub, hell I'm already hacked Scorpion is in Deception. Cripes how many times will he die?!
