Okay, now for those who haven't seen the video, young Shunjiko is roaming around doing taske and stuff and meeting people on the way. Now we can see that he meet up with Jax, Noob, and Stryker.
Now here's the kicker. In present day if you will, he's much older, but in Konquest as a young man, Jax for example is as he is in present day with the cybernetic arms and all.
*scratching head trying to find the logic behind all of this*
How can Jax, Stryker and Noob be around in Konquest when they should reside in the present? I know that with he MK Universe, we sometimes have to wink and nod at some plot issues, but C'MON! This is just silly beyond reason.
A question of continuity that not even Sherlock Holmes couldn't solve is just hillarious and questionable. I'm kinda dissapointed that such a detail was either overlooked or just added in for filler cause if it doesn't make sense to me, then everyone will find it wierd when we play Konquest mode.
C'est tout!

Thats true. LOL Very true. I think about that everyday. But hey, Not all games have to make sense.
Good example > Grand Theft Auto. How the hell can you get blown up, shot, drown, EVERYTHING, and not die? You just end up in a hospital everytime like you can be wounded, but you can't die. LOL

You guys... lol.
Give me the fucking break off your Kit Kat bar. This is a game who's most famous trait is when you can rip someone's head off and show off his spine, only to play as him in two seconds later (after putting in .50 cents).
How in the hell are you attacking it on grounds of continuity? Johnny Cage dies all the time & comes back. People live to be 500 years old. It's a videogame that's designed around a play experience that takes logic & plot and puts them at second fiddle.
Get over it. You're not Sherlock Holmes for unearthing the plot holes.

Konquest was made to build Shujinko, unlock various items, and learn the storyline to Deception. All of these characters were just tossed in for the hell of it. So don't think of continuity with featured characters when playing Konquest.

I think he's in his 60's or 70's. And like Jax and Stryker aren't normal human beings? LOL

I'm not killing it entirely first of all and you are correct. However, it is at times kinda fair to question the things that just stick out like a person wearing a green shirt with orange pants.

Never said I was mate.

Good observation, man.
for the human chaacters is doesn't work. Yes, they should age. Although shouldn't some of them not exist during Shujinkos youth? In present day MK he will be 60-7- won't he? When he is 23 for example, sonya may not even have been born. So I think the human characters should actually be babies or little children, unless I'm wrong here.

For the human characters, yeah. Jax might be...... in his mid 30's in present time? So.... if he were to meet with Shunjiko in his early 20's and he's in his mid 60's now, then Jax would be in his 70's. LOL! Wierd! The non-humans play by totally different rules obviously.

lol, well I give you props I guess... Never really thought of that. It still pretty much works for all warriors except earth born warriors. And I think the only ones who are suspoes to live longer are the ones who actually beat mortal kombat... But like others said it's just a video game and will never be inherintly perfect.. hell almost nothing is perfect.

LONG STUPID POST
I guess all of you are wrong in an aspect, my guess is that shujinko is way older than 70, is from outworld right? like bo rai cho, they say in DA that bo rai cho is thousands of years old...
but I thought a bit...I guess you're right, I remembered the first scene in konquest when the kids are imitating liu kang, shang and goro, like in mk1. So I guess the konquest starts between mk1 and mk2, well in mk2 jax was around his 20's and shujinko was like 16, so I guess the whole problem is that the only one that has the wrong age is shujinko cause he should be in his 40's like jax (in the present)
maybe this means two things
people dont age normally in outworld (that explains the fact that shujinko looks like 16 when jax looks like 40)
and
shujinko entered in some realm that made him age faster (like that room in dragon ball z, where goku and the others went to train for a year, but in the real world only one day passed) - this explains why shujinko looks like 70's when jax looks the same 40's)
the whole thing could be like this
jax is born in 1964
shujinko is born in 1968
in 1984 mk 2 starts jax is 20
in 1984 konquest starts shujinko is 16
then in 2004 jax is 40 and he's in the DA events
shujinko was still 16 because all this time he was in outworld and people in outworld dont age like us (just a theory)
they meet
shujinko enters a realm that makes him age for like 50 years. shujinko 66 yrs
while in earthrealm only a week or something has passed. jax still 40 yrs
END
lmao, stupid...sorry for all this, I'm just bored...

I thought Konquest started long before MK1? Isn't the first sentence of the bio for Shujinko like "long before liu kang won the first tournament"?
Perhaps you dont just travel to realms, but also TIME. Maybe he goes to like post MK II earth, post MKDA earth, and so on.

how can that be before mk1 if the opening scene of konquest is a couple of kids pretending they're shang tsung, goro and liu kang?

I'd say Shunjinko is the only person who ages faster than everyone else. Outworldians (i.e. Bo'Rai Cho, Goro) & Edenians (i.e. Tanya, Jade, Kitana) all have a long lifespan while looking very young (well in the Edenian's cases). Shunjinko could have a sense where he ages faster than most humans/outworldians/edenians/etc. Also, Orderrealm & Chaosrealm (since we don't know the laws of physics there) could also have an effect on the aging process.
Shujinko is about 60 to 70 years old. He was born about 50 give or take 10 years prior to the first tournament. Just because he meets every character doesn't mean he actually met them in his real journey. People need to stop taking everything so literally.
