OK you can bash me all you want, but I dont give a crap because it is my opinion, but MKD seems like another disappointment, the cast of characters is very odd, I hate the new style of gameplay because it doesnt feel like MK, it just seems like an MKDA add-on, but with different characters.When I hear about it and all it's features, I'm not like "WOW!". The only thing that seems cool to me is the new modes like Chess and Puzzle Kombat, but so far I'm not impressed, and I might try it out when it comes out, maybe rent it or something, but is there anyone esle here who feels the same way, is there anyone else not looking forward to MKD like myself?

::08:11:: STFU newb.
::08:11:: MKD looks cool.

Yay.

But seriously, most sequels are add-ons with new characters. This one just looks more fun.

I feel a bit the same, the games just doesn't seem to have that 'Wow factor'. But for me its because a lot of the characters so far named are ones I myself dont like, (Kenshi, BoRai Cho, Li Mei, Liu Kang, Noob, Scorpion, Ermac) but u cant please everyone. It doesnt mean I wont give the game a go, I will, but we'll need to play it first. Plus there are still a lot of characters we dont know yet, and the mini games look not bad too.

I'm looking forward to it, but I much prefer the old gameplay over the Deception gameplay. MUCH prefer it. I see what you mean Alpha_Q_Up, and I'll give it a rental just to see if it's good enough to buy.

Yeah...most sequels are add-ons...

You don't know the true cast of characters quite yet...neither do I but let's just say that there is more to the cast than what it may seem...wink

As for the gameplay, it looks pretty cool so far. yes, it does look a lot like MK: DA, but that's obviously because they are using the MK: DA fighting engine but this time, they are tweaking it.

I for one am looking forward to this game.

Usually the people who aren't looking forward don't come to the MK:Deception discussion or this site.

Well yeah, this is my only thread in this forum I believe, and there is also the Genral Discussion forum which I'm at all the time and the Classic MK Discussion too, I dont really care about MK6, but I'm not like most people.

This is your personal opinion and I won't hold it against you. I am looking forward to Mortal Kombat 6, but not as hardcore as most. The one problem I have is the "Deception" name (I'm not saying I like the "Mystification" crap either!), but other than that, I'll buy the game when it comes out and play it just the same as everyone else.

Because this is a forum, in a forum you voice your opinions on what ever the forum is about, I'm sick of people keep repeating all this you shouldn't be here stuff.

Just because someone doesn't like the lastest MK doesn't make them any less a fan than someone who likes it.

I've loved the MK series since the very beginning when the first MK came out at the arcades.
But with all the hype for MKDA, I expected sooooo much from it. I played for few months and now my copy is collecting dust. I plan to buy MK: Dissapointement grin later on but not as soon as it is released!

I agree Wanderer.

And thank you FLSTYLE. And let me get this into everybdy's head, I have been a hardcore MK fan since the first one, but ever since MKDA, I have been extremely disappointed with MK, and MKD seems like another huge disappointment, I just wanted to know if anyone felt the same way I did about MKD, just becuase I dont like the game, doesn't mean that I'm not gonna be here, I wanna see any updates that'll change my perspective, but so far I haven't, so does anyone else fell like I do?

I really don't know...
I have to agree with AQU for much of his comments, but it still is MK so i'll defently buy it, although i have buy a psx2 or xbox, just for mkd.

I'm going to buy it because old favorites return, like scorpion, subzero, baraka, mileena and so on. I don't have any special "feelings" for the new group.

But i would love to play online chess and puzzle kombat, especially when you're drunk as hell

Though I like the old HP, LP, LK, HK system better than the MKDA system Im still looking forward to MKD, the control system isnt that big of a issue for me, Im sure MKD will be a great game.

I don't see them saying anything to convince others not to buy it.

They don't say not to buy it or that it's gonna suck. they are simply stating their opinion.

I prefer these topics more than the "MK6 is teh bestest Mk evar!!!111".

I respect you opinion AQU and for the most part, I think you're right. There haven't been any "real" changes to MK:D if you compare it to MK:DA

However, I'm still going to buy it, if only to play the new mini-games and to play with the new characters.

I respect your opinion Alpha_Q_Up, but I have to say that I welcomed the changes made in DA, and I'm glad that they'll be in Deception. I grew tired of the fact that in every single MK game, the controls and gameplay went virtually unchanged. The keys to winning were always jump-kicking, jump-punching into a combo (later on), and uppercutting. Now one can't do that, which makes the game more interesting and more of a challenge to actually do well in. Now when one says that they mastered someone, they don't mean that they've mastered the uppercut or the jump-kick, they mean using the actual player to his/her full potential. Plus, a lot of the characters in the old games were instantly cheap when introduced (Noob Saibot and Rain to name a few, both with 100% damaging combos that required less skill to do than any of the characters in DA). I hope that this system stays with the MK series, and I hope that the original system stays with the classics only.
