I feel as a Loyal MK Fan, I have to put in my 2 cents... I personally like both sites. I love the way the news is listed on TMK, and the boards on MKO. Both sites truely have great aspects to each of them. I really see no need to arguee back and forth, when we are really all suporting the same thing. Both sites are well respewcted from MK fans, and truthfully that is all that matters. I think in this day and age, if there is no real purpose to argue, then just try and work things out between the 2 groups, and it would help make a better MK community all together.

It's quite simple actually...NO glitch combos and only ONE free throw per combo...Just those two rules eliminate ALL infinite combos in the game. Simple, done.

What is a glitch combo? Well, check out my new infinite vids where you end a combo with a popup move, then walk up and start another combo where they can't block getting up (glitch)...or Bo/Darrius/Noob/Tanya throw into free hits...Noob throw into ff+3 IS A GLITCH HIT.

Alright, we have cut a deal with Total-MK and his site will update with Evolution material. We're still working on cutting a deal with TRMK, and have yet to hear back from Dave's MK.

Maybe Blazed from Gamecombos.com can help, his site has...25,000 members, and it would be worth the eyes looking at it. I know a small percentage of people who go to that site probably play MKD, but at least it's exposure. I'll talk to him, or maybe if someone wants info, PM me. Does the site have to be MK related? cv is explosively popular.

I have alot of Affiliates and Dave's MK is one of them I am sure we can get them to get envolved, but I will contact all my affiliates too and get them to make an update.

We finally as well worked out a compromise with Dave's Mortal Kombat. Thanks to them and Total-MK for stepping up. TRMK will be getting back to me on Monday, and I'll let you know here if they will help spread the word as well.

Just want to thank everyone for the support, differences aside. Words can not fully show how thankful I am.

Even IF, and it's a huge if, 100 people sign up for MK, how many would show? It'd be worse if the game actually gets accepted into EVO and all the people who sign up don't show than if it doesn't make it at all, which I doubt it will. Look at it from the average MK players point of view, all 20 of them. Why travel when you can sit at home and play?

I've already heard talk of people signing up just to get the game in with no intentions of showing up. Sad.

These combos were in MKDA....I had them removed as soon as I found them

I didn't get to work on the final balancing stage of MKD, go figure.

Maybe if you are a good boy the MK team will let you balance out MK7 :P

Either way, something needs to give in order for Boon and Co. to understand what is really wrong with MK right now. This may sound selfish, it probably is, but using EVO to get that done is far from a bad idea. It's worth watching MK be torn apart by the people playing and the rest of the attendees if it will knock some sense into the development team. We need something, anything, to get Ed Boon to ask, "What the hell's going on here? Why is Deception getting laughed at during EVO?"

I'm showing my support for this only because I want everyone there to absolutely flame the hell out of Deception's glitch fest.

In turn this might actually convince Boon + Co to do some serious work on MK7 .
If this doesn't do it then nothing will.

kilerb: 100 people that would fly to Las Vegas and play at Evolution for MKD is a very very slim possibility. Its easy to play when its online, but let me ask you, would you fly to Vegas and stay there for 3-4 days just to be at Evolution for MKD the entire time you're there even though its so broken? Knowing you probably won't win because someone will abuse hugely broken stuff better than you?

We're talking about paying $300+ if you're in one of the states close to Vegas and more when you're far. Do you think there are 100 players hardcore enough to travel that far for MKD when it's so broke?

scorp-n1: You pay for the tourney because you have the possibility to win money if you place in top 3 of your game based on how many people are in the tournament. First prize for a game is like what? 50-80% of the money pool. Imagine if 100 people played MK and they all paid 10 dollars. Win first place and you get $500-800.

HDTran... I do believe that they can get 100 people because right now I know for a fact they only need to get 99 people. Annnd I have the assumption from reading this 4 page board topic that they probably have enough already if we advertise it properly. Don't you kow there are DIEHARD MK fans like there are Diehard Star Wars and wrestling fans? People come from Australia and the UK to watch Wrestlemania every year. The flight is way more expensive, the tickets are $750 face value... There are people coming out from different countries to see Star Wars in a great theater in Hollywood. Believe me, there are more than 100 MK fans that would sign up for this if they knew about it.

Your point about going all the way there and someone using a cheap trick to beat me is possible, BUT it's not going to be an infinite glitch, or more than one throw as you can read in the rules posted above. So what are they going to do that's cheap? Post it here... Tell me what they'll do if they can't use one of those glitches. I guess the question is this... If the Bo Rai Cho Stick stick throw, stick stick throw, stick stick throw is a glitch, then is it okay to use it once? Or 2 times? As long as they don't do it until you're dead? My question is, can they use a combo that is capable of taking 100% off, if they stop doing it right before you die? Or the second they stick stick throw, are they disqualified??? I guess Scott can answer this one. If that's the case, then I don't see any problems with this at all. As a matter of fact, i think i'd have a chance at ranking pretty high. Since people like MKLegend and Alexi09 don't live around LV! heheh

I'm in California and i go to LV all the time anyway, and I get free rooms. If my buddy Wargodadams comes, we've only got 98 to go!!!

Isn't it set up so that if you sign up, and commit to going, you pay the fees, and are refunded only if the game doesn't make it? This is the first time EVO's done this, should be something to prevent people from backing out like that.

And you're right, this is a huge IF, Midway doesn't even want to get involved. But look at it from the view of everyone at this site who hates the game. I extensively hate this game. I've been on Tekken 5 and a few other games since they came out. But the only reason myself and other people who hate the game are supporting this, is because if this becomes the slap upside the head towards the MK team waking them up to reality, wouldn't hurt for these sites and members to try it, regardless of how shitty the game is. I think there was big enough voice against Tekken 4, EVO is a voice we could use on Midway.

But again, if this does happen, still a big IF they'll listen.

If Mortal Kombat can't get 100 people across the entire country, than that would be embarassing.
