Okay, I'll be real slow. It's called a "fighting game tournament." What is a "fighting game tournament"? Well, I'm glad you asked. It is a competition where people from all over the world gather to watch or attempt to defeat the top players in the world for money.

But wait, there's more!!! At these "fighting game tournaments" there isn't just one fighting game, but many! And it just so happens that Evolution is pretty much considered the end all be all of "fighting game tournaments", and no MK to my knowledge has ever been at EVO. So, that is why it is such a big deal to the MK community. But here's the catch, pay attention now:

Most of us want MK at EVO not so everyone can see what a cool game MK is, but to see how horribly broken and unbalanced it is so that hopefully enough awareness is raised so that it catches Midway's attention, and the next time around, we get a legit fighting engine. Now, I know you don't understand some of these long sentences and words, but try to concentrate.

By now, you should understand that Metal Gear Solid has never once been mentioned in this thread because, well, IT'S NOT A FUCKING FIGHTING GAME!!!!!!!!

the reason why u think mk has a "horrible fighting engine" is because this game requires true reaction time, i admit infanites suck but the gameplay is best of any fightgame ever, it requires a good offenese, and an even better defense one false move and u are finished the game keeps u on your toes, u little mammas boys probabaly cant handle it can ya? and the 50/50 sytems is the way every fighter should be man, some games make it the most garbage blocking systems where as mkd is simple but yet very sophisticated yall need to quit whinnin and watch me win some cash money at this tournament, all other fighting games are jokes compared to mkd. maybe because i only play one fight currenlty mkd. and they better have a xbox version and ps2 versions OMG also i read this u guys are afraid of people laughin about a video game cmon grow up the game is fun u suck to whine, i know plenty of people who play fairly and competivley so stfu its agreat game for a tournament say what u want ban infs, and free throws and everyting is perfect otherwise stfu if u aint gonna support mkd i know il be going to las vegas for a chance to win some dow, and party, shit i dont need to casino im to young me and my peeps from btown will throw this shit down yall see.

Seriously though,the MK:D's animation is so bad that you can't see ANYTHING on reaction.Lows seem to be as fast as mids.Throws are unavoidable on reaction anyway.In Tekken,20+ frames lows can be easily seen on reaction (Bryan's d/f+3 for example).MK:D is so bad compared to Tekken 5 it's not even funny.Tekken 5 makes MK:D look like a fighting game released 10 years ago.

Turtling in MK:D doesn't mean anything,really.There are some people who can predict my Dairou and then shut me down with 50/50 mix ups,but that's besides the point.Everything in this game is based on 50/50 mix ups.It doesn't matter if you're Tom Brady or a random noob.When you get caught in a 50/50 mix ups,your "best defense" will not help you out at all.You gotta guess right,but you cannot do so with reactions because the animation is so bad and the frame data used for the moves is totally illogical.In fact,playing against N/S,BRC,Darrius,Dairou,etc. is like playing rock/paper/scissors.

I talked to Alda about coming over to X-Box.He said X-Box competition is so bad besides a few people that it's not worth coming over.Most of them cry and then resort to some kind of infinite combos.I don't need any of that because PS2 has enough of that.I want to slow down on MK:D now any since my T5 CD has been fixed.

I think MKD is the best fighting game, and I could care less what anyone else thinks. Why is the game flawed if the tournament has rules like "No infinites" or "no glitches?" Then why is it bad?

Because even when you ban the rediculous stuff (which shouldn't be there in the first place by the way) you still have a far too dominant 50/50 game. Just by getting knocked down you can lose the match entirely from a bad guess. How can you say you think MK:D is the best fighting game and right after that willingly accept that it has a ludicrous amount of infinites and glitches? What makes it the best again?

Plus it's slow, clunky and ugly.

i dont know man my opinion is that its one of the best fighters ever and is tournament material and im stickin by my opinion no matter what anyone says.
