Not really. Noob only attacked Goro under orders. I doubt he has any interest in him at all. Also, while Noob is involved with the Netherealm, Goro is tied to Shao Kahn, so I doubt they'll even interact at all.

I think Goro & Kung Lao would make the most sense.

Goro is listed as one of Cage's enemies in his Deception virtual trading kard. Maybe the grudge was born from the battle between Cage/Kano/Sonya and Goro.

Yeh,the movies are non-canon,obviously,so goro doesn't have any beef with cage. Then again MKSM when he killed him might start somthing,I mean who would you go after if you were a four armed pissed off shokan looking to reak vengence on the one who COLD BLOODED murdered, seriously that was liu's kill, not his.

Usually they're not, but according to the official MKII comic that Tobias did, Cage, with the help of Sonya and Kano, fought off Goro before Sonya Kano and Goro were sucked into a portal.

Sonya and Kano are already arch enemies so I guess Midway, with a little influence from the movie, have made a long-standing rivalry between Cage and Goro.

Shaolin Monks isn't canon either.

Cage and Goro have no rivalry in the actual games unless the retcon one into the story in Armageddon.

I guess they figured this is the only way to make Johnny Cage even semi-useful.

I think it is just cuz it is a more mainstream known rivalry weither it is canon or not. It is like Cyrax vs. Sektor even though they don't really have a rivalry. Like the Ermac vs. Rain rivalry. There may not be any real rivalry in the game between Goro and Cage, but it is a rivalry made populare from the MK movie.

What I'm highly shocked about is that there is no Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero cover and that for some reason they went iwth Sindel vs. Kahn confusedconfusedconfused No Liu Kang vs. Shang Tsung either is kinda weird...

Anyways it is cuz the Goro vs. Cage rivalry is pretty well known cuz of the movie.

No.

Its cool like that, I really like it that they are hinting a possible rivalry between these two characters, they are both awesome in the games, and awesome in the movie.

Its not **entirely** canon.

Im positive Ed Boon and some of the mk team said that while some things such as the bosses deaths aren’t canon and were just made to have a fun game, other things are canon and are considered by them as Mk facts.

The entire game isn’t canon, but most stuff seems to be, at least according to them and some comments made in the Friday Night chat here on Mko and other interviews.

And I read they later changed their mind and said it was all just a "what-if" story.
Regardless, I think a Cage/Goro "rivalry" is lame and yet another unnecessary piece of the movie shoved into the games. The last thing Cage needs is yet another retcon: "Hey wait, me and Goro have been rivals this whole....we just never really mentioned it until now."

Cage and Goro being rivals is a cool idea to me but how it will be explained is a good question. Cage never fought Goro in the first tournament, Liu Kang did. In MK4 Goros bio said he returned to fight Liu Kang, not Johnny Cage. The movie is where Johnny Cage and Goro fought, and the movie was non-cannon.

I would understand it moreif it was Johnny Cage and Motaro. Johnny Cage was killed by the Shao Kahns extermination squads, and Motaro was the leader of those squads. I would think that if Motaro was the one who killed Johnny Cage, the Cage would want another shot at Motaro. Then again they may just find a good way to explain the Johnny Cage and Goro rivalry. Not long now until we maybe get the answer.
