I've always liked a balance between speed, power and control. Like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Nitara and Kung Lao in MK:DA. Some of the other characters were confusing, Li Mei especially. Very annoying to both play as, And to fight against.

One of my concerns was that Ermac would be ackward to play as, Much like Mavado or Quan Chi (personally).

mavado and quan chi and li mie were great in mkda..i actually hope that ermac can fight as fast as them

I hope that Ermac is fast and has some wicked moves in MKD... im hopeing that he is like scorpion was in MKDA but a little faster and maybe a soul steal to gain some energy back...

Well...from the way Ermac's movements look, it may well be that he will be a bit awkward to use though I don't mind as long as he's useful and relatively easy to control.

I think its great to have him back. I always hated that guy.... not his character but only because a friend of mine always used to play with Baraka. And when he was losing he always begun to do jump kicks over and over again that was so annoying that you gonna start hating that guy. So every time when I was mad at my friend I played mk2 to kick Baraka’s ass and blow off some steam. Usually when I reached Baraka he kicked my ass so I started to hate him even more. But I’m glad he is back now so I can finally kick his ass once and for all.

I hope he still has his old fatality where he lift up his opponent with his blades, that one was brutal... I loved it.

i remeber when we first got the baraka pic i started the thread asking about his weapons.


so what do u think they'll do with his blades? take them out as a weapon or just use them for special moves? or will they try to do both?

remeber how kitana tried to do that in mkda but it was crappy? well hopefully it will be better sicne baraka cant lose his blades like kitana loses her fans.

cant do much along the lines of distance fighting though...blades dont go far.

Ah Baraka. When I first saw him in MK2 I thought he looked brutal, evil. He became my favorite character in MK2. I could kick anyones a$$ with him.

Barakas Background:
He led the attack agains Liu Kang's Shaolin Temple. Baraka belongs to a nomadic race of mutants living in the wastelands of the Outworld. His fightings skills gained the attention of Shao Kahn who recruited him into his Army.

i was thinking something simple like working for the DK and killing more people of liu kang and kung lao's clan or something but then it grows to more or something.....its gonna involve mileena...perhaps it involves kitana's kingdom..maybe he wants to be king of edinia

Baraka is definately one of my huge favourites. For his story, i want to see him side with the dragon king and try to conquer the realms with him. I then want to see him try to take over by killing the dragon king and ruling all realms for himself. I like the idea of how someone said mileena would go on kahns side, while baraka would join with the dragon king.

I also want to see and hear more of barakas clan and people. We hear all about the vampire race, the lin kuei, the red dragon, the special forces, the oni's and others, but we never hear much about barakas nomads. I want to see him and his clan get into a war with another clan, perhaps edenia or another race.

As for moves, its most likely he will have his blades. I cant wait to play as him.

I HOPE His weapons are his blades, nontheless... i stillk want him to have all his special blad moves...
For hiss faality 'I hoppe he keeps his impoaling one... and then have one where he pins you with one blade and then chop off pieces of flesh with the oher...

Also, I want Baraka's stage to come bacl (Wasteland) and to have GREAT death traps...

MOVES :
I think they should bring back some old ones
but,I seriously hope they blow our minds with
some new ones.
FATALITIES :
I hope they really become creative with
these.They were great,but seemed bland for his
character.
STORYLINE :
I hope he takes on a more nomadic role,if you

will.I also hope he doesn't just pacify the next

big thing aka DK .It could be possible him and

Mileana kill kitana.And mileana poses as queen

and baraka takes his place at her side as king of

Edinea.Where the human turkey aka Liu Kang failed

to do for Kitana.I hope the boy represents ! grin

is it just me, or does baraka look similar to his MK Gold look?

Anyway, i am overwhelmed to see his return in MK: Deception. An idea for a special move for Baraka; you know how he has all those sharp bits on his forarms but only uses one one each arm for his blades? Why not use the other sharp bits to come out and use them like a drill? That would rock!

his MKG look had staple..i dont see any.

so i was thinking that he can kill quan chi in his ending and then that part gets carried over. it'll add spice to scorpion and it'll make baraka more badass.

ofcourse his story will have to involve quan chi then.

Well it seems that Baraka will probably be one of the most significant characters in Mortal Kombat: Deception. He might have his own brand of evil and I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Baraka, I'm thinking his fighting styles are gonna be Capeoria, and some kind of thing like beserk where he goes nutty. He'd use his blades for weapons.
PLot: Thought to have been killed during Shinnok's failed uprising, Baraka escaped after realizing that defeat was obvious, he returned to the wastelands and home of the few remaining Nomads. There he runs into Mileena, now in service to the Dragon King, and is an extremely high ranking officer in his army. In Baraka's absence, the Dragon King has enslaved the nomadic mutants to prevent an uprising. Baraka's reunion with Mileena, is not in good terms as he is arrested, killing several guards in the process. It is in the dungeons he is held, that Baraka develops an extremely risky and reckless, but possible plan. Mileena personally questions Baraka about his motives and goals. Baraka, may be ugly and beastly, but he is extremely charismatic, and can read people, espescially a woman who had secretly had an affrair with several years ago. Baraka convinces Mileena to free him and give him a spot in her army. Baraka quickly rises through the ranks through his leadership, skill, and lack of remorse on the battle field. It is not long before he becomes one of the Dragon King's elite. Now with a high position of authority and personal contact with the Dragon King Himself, his plan begins to shape, he will take it all... through deception.

i think baraka should have a savage like style

something with a of crazy movements where it seems like his off balance but really on balance

I hope Baraka has a really 'animalesque' style like Wolverrine's from the Marvel versus Capcom games. And his weapons better be his blades.

do u want blood to drip when he releases his blades?
like he switches to weapon stance, the shoot out and blood drops fall to the floor?

that sounds cool, but almost to painful to do it time and time again, i really like the idea of them being retracable though. Expecially seeing them come out when he switches to his weapon stance like the vid.
