I read it. Thanks. When i wrote that i don't use those tactics in my fights it wasn't to suggest that i'm so skilled. It was just to say that it's more fun for me to play that way. Now that i've been playing, reading online, and especially that article you gave me to read, it's all coming together for me. I've been losing bad and i don't like it. It's a lousy way to play a game. I'm used to winning, but that's against the CPU and a friend who doesn't play nearly as much as i do. So now it's up to me to learn the skills necessary to play online and win, which includes the 50/50, free throws, corner traps, etc. If anyone cares enough to know that i'm serious, check this out:

THIS is the kind of thread i've been looking for!
I've been fighting online for only a month. Signed up hoping to build a solid friends list for Armageddon, and i've got good people so far, like DRS540, IndridCold99, GUNZ 75, South Elite, Best Sniper 102, LingTong2005, and CyanoticSnipe to name a few. They told me about this site. I came, signed up, and have been reading day and (all) night.
I'm blown away by the things that you guys have come up with: strategy guides, videos, combos, etc. I've been implementing this things into my technique and yes, i've gotten better. However, i still lose BAD, sometimes over and over to players like South Elite and Kudigra Maximus. And as the loses mount, my spirit dwindles until i'm left holding the controller and just staring at my fighter getting bounced all over the screen, depressed.
But i won't give up. Never. I love this game and i want to compete with all the top tier players. And i know there's one way to do it: PLAY. And then play some more. (Hence the tag: kilnkilagn...because it never stops; just like the characters don't die, the fight may end, but the fighting is NEVER over)
As m2dave said in his post on the last page: Through playing one learns to adapt to his opponent and eventually overcome. If not, they will continue to lose. It's mental and probably cannot be taught. One must have the propensity for anticipation. I have it and i want to hone it for online fighting. Since i haven't had a Live account the greatest competition was the CPU on Hard and Max. Max ANNIHILATED me in the beginning and i wouldn't even CONSIDER playing it at that level after the thrashing i took. But i did. I played the game until i beat that CPU bastard on Max with Scorpion, and then others. That was great for me in one respect, bad in another. It's a computer with set patterns that i eventually overcame: Totally different online. I felt like i was good at MKD, REAL good. But i lost my first two dozens fights online before getting a victory with none other than Scorpion (definitely my go-to-guy) It's such a different way of playing the game that i feel like i want to do exactly what has been suggested in this thread: get online with other players, from so-so to top tier, and not just fight: PRACTICE. There's a different feel online than off and i want to learn it, but i don't have people to practice with like the CPU that's always there for me. My challenges are getting rejected and people are bouncing out after a couple of loses.
I'm very happy to see the subject of this thread being supported and i'm 100% in line with you guys. By the way, i've have gotten wins, though few, against great players like DRS540 and IndridCold99. I'm willing to train with any of you guys, and help train whoever i can in return. In closing (i wasn't going to be long winded about this) i want to say that i've been disgusted by some of the online community and would like to belong to a clan (however you do that) of respectable people for consistentcy and to enjoy the online experience rather than detest it (i've seen stupid shit out there).
If Versatile, Konqrr, danadbab (balls and all), m2dave, doohoo, g_roy_nyc, VainQueur, Quik1320, and other high caliber fighters are willing to train, then i'd be honored to be a trainee.

Thats good to hear Kil. If you listen to the people you mentioned ( versa Dave konqrr ect) you will get alot better and hopefully MKA will have alot of competition, somthing that MKD lacks.

Versatile IM'd me and says he wants to work with me, so that's cool. I'm 100% there. I hope when you and i meet up in MKA, on PS2 i presume, i can bring the high level of play to our match that i anticipate having.

That was done with Action Replay or similar in order to play with Monster so, in fact, it's not a glitch as it's not provoked by game code that is acessible by everyone.

Dan, you will probably see more glitches in MKA unfortunatly.
Im lookin forward to the game, but the thing is.... there will be even more glitches. This is the only major throwback.

I beg to differ here, MK:A will have newer key elements like parries, throw escapes, wake up, that they implement to help reduce infinites, glitches such as ft's, otg's not to mention the fact that plant moves which lead to some problems in MK:D are no removed.
Not saying it'll be perfect because NO game is perfect but MK:A will be MUCH, MUCH better then MK:D by far.
