Okay, I think it is time to get a first meeting going, in a seperate room where we all just fight eachother. We could do it this evening, after 21h GMT+1, or some other day. I know not all of you can play during the week, let me know what time would suit you.
BTW, Malheur and I have been using our Tags since yesterday, so If you want you can do the same. I think our skill level is high enough now! have fun....

You know what I like about your style?? you always have some sort of tactics and combinations worked out! I really like that cause I need to work out how to adapt to it! Also, your combos are very cool! The matches between you and me are always a lot about spacing and waiting for the right moment! no rushing!

Besides, your KAF looks really alike with Indiana, you did a very good job there! Now you need to make him more deadly. Maybe my 'HOMIE' gave you some inspiration??

Also Fabio, good series dude! We played at great tempo and good battles altogether. You need to watch your wakeups and parries, the way you utilize them are somewhat predictable. I think you went 4-1 up but it ended 7-4 because I started to adapt to your style but by then I had no choice but to go sleep. Catch you online soon!

I noticed yesterday that I suck at Air-combos LOL. In practice mode I get them done, but there the opp. bounces back. Is there NO way you can make your opponent bounce back online?? I know by pressing block they can stay on the ground, but is this always the case??
I guess I need some help on this matter! Wasn't able to try it out with someone yet.

It's really simple.

Only combo worth using in the air is 1,1,2 1,1,3,4.

Anytime your opponent touches the ground it's over.

You can try use the air combo canacel but the timing is a bitch, espacialy online.............

hmm, 1,1,2 let's the opponent bounce(at least with sektor), but it doesn't work online, ppl stay on the ground! Offline I discovered that 1,1,2,1,1,3,4 is the highest damaging combo myself, again, for sektor! I'm not sure it is with every character.
The air cancel thing is pretty hard to pull off online, offline it isn't!

Not all characters have it.

Some can do 1,1,2 1,1,3,4 wihtout the opponent touching the ground.

Hey DP, I have a confession. I do not know what 1,2,3, or 4 stand for. I see you guys type it all time. It's like y'all have a log book or something. I've tried to picture the combos in the past to no avial! However, when I grab the pad, if all comes naturally. Same thing secure passwords on my Network. I need a keyboard to remember what they are. Does anyone else have this problem?

Instead of writing Nightwolf weapon combo like this:

square,traingle,x,circle.

We just write:

1,2,3,4.

HJS, thanks for your reply. But to make the confusion further, I think I should say that my pad is not configured with default settings. I've customized it. I know essentially what 1,2,3 and 4 means but I could never for the love of god picture the moves like that. It's all because I have a different setup i.e. your 2 is I think my 3 and so on. You get what I mean?

In the configuration screen there s ́hould be something like this for normal ppl.:
attack 1 square
attack 2 triangle
attack 3 X
attack 4 circle

this setting should be the normal setting HJS' legend referrs to.
I think, 1 is Attack 1, etc, so you can just look it up in the configuration.

I think you guys are misunderstanding me. I know what those 12342232232 stuff means but I guess I just don't enjoy the theory part of it so much. Oh well...

Editted at 2015hrs GMT: I've spent about 1hr 15mins in the arena. I played someone by the name 'KYONO' or something like that. He or she was alright but misused parries way too often.

I don't think parries are that great. If your game play depends on parries, please try and re-adapt it. It's not that effective. Little patience from your opponent, then you're dead. I think we should build our game plan around adapting and leaving little room for error. Also, remember to try and play different games. I've gone back to Project Gotham 3 and believe it or not, Solitaire. It's all about being able to adapt to different circumstances.

Hopefully by the end of this month, we will more idea of how to utilize the tricks in MKA.

I fought this guy as well yesterday. (BTW I saw you fighting him, so up beat some other ppl up in the meanwhile ;) afterwards I didn't see you anymore :( )
Anyway, this KYOKO dude is pretty good! he has a very good Chameleon and Shaokahn(first time somebody beat my KAF). I went 5-3 vs him, all different characters!! You're right about his parry abuse though, I just low-kicked the hell out of him! lol
But,, I liked his style, I think he's pretty skilled. In fact, I would consider him joining us! So if anyone of you see him, ask him to come here to mko and look for this thread. I wanted to do so after our fights, but the server crashed and afterwards he was gone!

I will be online tomorrow around 20h GMT+1, need to fight some of you DA's more. Most good ppl (Rank<100) (le.g. DARKSIDE) quit after losing the first match! whatup with that?

I wouldn't pay any attention to the ranking system. It's not a true reflection of how good a player is. For instance, I enjoy playing the likes of MANO and Tgrant and I always lose badly to them. But then when I'm in the lobby, most players thing... "ummmmm, TRUE187 has bad rank, let me kill him with my gay ass KAK". Most of them hardly get more than 2 victories. So if you're the type who loves to those better than you or at least those that play fairly, your rank becomes useless.

That KYONO dude had good ranking and good win/loss ratio but in the face of real battle, it doesn't really add up. However, I think you're right in think he is good.

I'm now starting to love Sektor. That dude in red just chases opponents around and his weapons are good. I try not to play any character twice in a series (except when I play Gordonut - his unique style can only be taken down with certain characters). I think it's the best way to learn this game.
