I've gotten rid of my brother's PS1 a long time ago, and why can't I make a reference between Underground and the present? The reason why I made a reference towards Underground was just the fact that you only have a limit on the game. I was going to say something about the demos we get on PS3, but Underground popped in my head faster.
But in a way, Underground and demos we get now are somewhat similiar. You either have a time trial (Mainly computers thought) you can only play one level, or you just get trailers. That's it. I don't find demos being really useful when checking out a game. But yet again, it's my opinion and I'm sticking to the way I play games... just by watching trailers and reading reviews.

We probably wont get any demos until after E3 or during. I really wish they'd hurry and release one, I wanna know if this game's fighting is gonna suck as hard as the concept or if that'll be the thing that shines.

Honestly if I compare sf NOW to sf when i started playing it at like the age of 13... I WOULD see no difference in game play or anything...
I LOVED SF 2 when it came out..spent tons of money at the arcade playing it... but after awhile.. yall notice nothing new comes from the series... the main reason why i got into mk was because A. The characters changed.. b.the kontent changed from each game... c. the characters evolved along with the plot and story d. each game i could say had "THIS" and none of the others had it...
if you played sf 2 and you like ryu in the game... chances are.. you would like him in all the games to follow cause his moves never changed "while they did add some" and his look was always the same.."white with the red band on his head" mk you can't say the same for any of the characters because they evolved..Scorpion looks NOTHING like he did in MK 1 and the controls are always new to learn which makes it fun and fair "just because you were good at mk2 doesn't mean you would be good at mk 3 or DA for that matter.." same could be said for all the MK Games for that matter...
but back on topic... there will be a demo at E3 or so they have said..when does get released..i think it will be pretty cool...

That's true. MK fans gone wild with the trailer. If they release a demo of MK you will see PS3 hard disks being thrown over the balconys.
They are so afraid that they only showing us painted pictures not real ingame footage.

.By reading reviews you are lisnting to ne guys opinion but with a demo you get to experience the game to some extent to show you what to expect from the game. Also not all reviewrs are loyal and all they say is TRUE they are payed off sometimes by game companies their are many examples the biggest one that comes too mind is a football game (soccer) is called PES 2008which was a big flop but it recieved a 8.6fromignand many other game sites. But in the end its your opininon do whatever you want.

I've known for many years that Reviewers suck. They gave Rule of Rose a bad rating yet I loved it.
I know that demos give us what to expect for the entire game. I though, do not think that demos are great only because it doesn't feature that many things to do, and that's what its supposed to do. But why waste time in downloading a demo when the game comes out within weeks prior to the demo's release.
Demos disappoint me, unlike you, they do to me. I'm not saying that you all need to follow my lead and say "Hey ditch the demo, wait for the release," I am just saying that it's not useful towards me, and that MK isn't really the right game to set a demo to. Because it's the same thing we've been seeing, you punch a guy, he kicks back, you kick a guy, he punches back, you throw a special move out at the guy, he performs a fatality on you.
Nuff said for me.
CHEERS!

Demo would be bitching, but MK has never been known for releasing fighting game demos, adventure games yes...
Let's hope lol

I have to agree with SubMan on this one.
For those of you who don't remember, when the demo was released, a few people were able to successfully hack the game and figure out who all the unlockable characters were in versus mode, even though they hadn't been put in yet (only their pictures were there). I have a funny feeling that they don't want the same thing to happen again.

But that was also an adventure game, not a fighting game. They can release a small demo with ONLY say 3 characters to pick from and literally eliminate everyone else in the game within the actual demo, this way no chance of "loser hackers" out there finding stuff out prior to the game's release.
Just an idea.
Just an idea.

I cant really see them releasing a demo for the game. Critics tend to rip on MK all the time and releasing the demo would probably set them up for things to complain about. Plus, any new features to the fighting engine or game itself would be considered old to them by the time they really review it, giving them more excuses to bash MK.

Nahh, just stupid bias EGM....constantly rips MK, the others are a lot more fair or actually enjoy MK series.

There will probably be an XBL/PSN Demo to try to win over customers that are on the fence considering Midway knows how risky this is.
