Goro was the sub-boss in MK 4.

I don't see why so many people are complaining about tradition. It wasn't "traditional" that fighters in MK had more then one stance and a weapon untill recentaly (I'm not sure if that was added in N64 version or DA?) It was fun and worked! Sure breakin tradition can lead to mistakes, but it can also improve on aspects! Calm down and give things a chance before you complain. MK like all good series keeps evolving and to evolve and get better you need to break the mold to see what works and what dosen't. Also who cares THAT much about a sub boss, I mean sure I can see people gettin upset over the lack of a real chalenge in DA's main bosses (who as you all know where also playible at the start!), but this time around we have the dragon king!

Noob Saibot/Smoke - altough I don't completely agree with the idea they're a tag team, at least it's better than those gigantic assholes

i LOVE it, its gonna be awesome fighting two chaotic twisted Ninjas at once, what do we need another huge creature for as a subboss? hes the mainboss, NOOBSAI and SMOKE rule, especially as a team

imo i wonder if they felt smoke and noov were not well-rounded enough to be individuals since their moves are mostly rip-offs of other fighters (though that did not stop making darrius the recycle bin). that and/or they were running out of time.

Oh well, I guess it makes sence. The idea its not so bad after all....Im starting to like it.

In my humble opinion there our 4 characters that can make or break Mortal Kombat, and these characters are Sub Zero, Rayden, Scorpion, Liu Kang (the dude that got killed by Quan Chi and Shang Sung)
I don't know if this has already been asked in a previous thread or not but when you unlock Noob Smoke and you go to the character select scree can you choose to play either as Noob or Smoke or do you have to play as both of them at the same time?
BTW screw the Tradition I am tired of seeing huge powerful creatures as the sub boss

A Shadow Priest would had been an amazing sub-boss! I love those style of characters.
And a real dragon would had been great to fight.

I would love to fight a dragon or a shadow priest. i mean we got close with the shokans being have dragon, why shouldn't we be able to fight a full thing. But its doubtful. A shadow pries would have been great. They remind me of the grim reaper. And its cool. Imagine trying to kick a shadow priest right in his crotch. And then he floats outta the way. Cool. How is this noob/smoke sub boss gonna work anyway. Do you fight the two at the same time or is it like and Endurance match?

Dude, I dont care, it's only the sub boss, if NoobSmoke was the boss, then Id be really pissed, look at the bosses in MK4 and MKDA, just total crap.

agree 10x times its really better to make a harder sub-boss but i think noob/smoke its better to be mystical characters like mk2 remember a stage with (?) with smoke and jade .

I actually agree with you. They would fit perfectly for the "?" stuff or the "E" rounds, but not as a sub-bosss.
I already got over it, I think I actually like the idea even though I know I will miss the giant monster, but hey, it is a fresh change, and possibly, one of the best.
Lets just hope they are as deadly as they seem to be.

I think the idea is fairly interesting. However, one thing that's bothering me about it is, how did Noob rope Smoke into forming a tag-team? Last we saw of Smoke, he was good (helping out Sub-Zero), so I would think Noob made one hell of a deal with Smoke to get the ethereal warrior on his side.

You know what its bullsh__!A true sub boss is big and powerful,to tell you the truth noob-smoke are just a stepping stone for the true sub boss a mammoth sub boss......tradition lives!!!!

Dont worry. Im sure they will explain to us the reason of the union of these 2 characters.
It has to be something important .it better be! I hope they have a great storyline!
